Advanced boss map, environmental advantage

Remember Black Knight of Delusion? Remember how he has an "environmental advantage", where the water slightly covers his red AoE zone, giving us the disadvantage of needing extra caution on the AoE. It's a really fun fight

Another special boss map I remember is Zoe's from Halloween Event. If you fall off, you don't get kicked out off the battle, but instead you will fall into a pool of ailments

Does anyone know any "special" boss maps other than these two?

I really wish they put more effort on boss maps. Most maps we see are just a plain ground, decorated to look fancy. Some of them don't have any wall so you can fall off from the arena. But that's it, nothing really special

There are plenty of ideas, really

2 floored giant raid boss maps? Where each floor has different advantages and disatvantages, each floor has different break points, etc

Chess-like map? Where there's one of Boss' attack where the AoE is invisible, and you need to guess which tile is safe based on another "indicator" the boss gives. (Like, if the boss waves it's right hand, it's going to attack all white tiles)

A map that gets smaller overtime? Either based on boss' phase, or just getting smaller every second (so you have limited time)

Maybe add those "swingy-things" from Cuervo Jail? This one would be annoying lol

Some maps have things for bosses to get stuck on, and sometumes players may run into those obstacles too, but they can normally walk around them. At one point, the crystal golem's projectile attack would slide off of walls instead of going through them, but that got removed for some unknown reason.

 

Pumpking has an annoying map advantage: He has big AoE attacks on a small platform and his attacks knocks you back... He also shamelessly corners you so he can ledge you off the platform, eliminating you from the fight. xD

 

Arena events with the fire walls. Think it was the megiston event. You'd get ignited or knocked off.

Great fun, but I feel for the support team. They would have had all the Kiritos complaining about dying in the fire before they had to make the T4 skills to keep them away from the "contact support" menu.

if you don't have your back to the wall when she sneezes, you will be blown away.

pillars and piles of rubble can block bullet and bowling attacks, but ubfortunately the maps that have them don't use those attacks and the bosses that uses them have clean maps.

I don't mean it that way. Bosses trying to knock you off is nothing really special...

 

Are you not asking people to name bosses that are using terrain advantage as a weapon? Yes, it's nothing "special" but a small battlefield that is actively being abused by a boss IS terrain advantage.

 

What I meant is, maps that are more than just a "ground". Like BKoD, the water is there for a reason, to cover up boss' AoE. It's not there just for the sake of being fancy. The map is actually DOING something, giving boss an advantage

 

Ya some suprize like zoe's kid boss map. If you just run around like a headless chicken you end up in spikes.(the most stupid way to die in a closed off big area maps).

 

Cant even think of another boss map, but for me "blazing graven" where salamander stay is kinda unique(but not that special). At least it really pissed me off when im noob back then (continuous "ignite" ailment is not a joke) Maybe they can add boss map like that.

 

If i may add meme's boss stage. You drop down to access it and you drop down again if you are unlucky. It is pretty much like fighting a shark inside a sewage pipe.

 

a dificult task since bosses are never in sync with the players in party.......or am i wrong.?

 

May I put Altoblepas the Miniboss on the list?
I'm 100% sure the 3D design team decided to put those trees there with a reason. I mean, how many trees you've seen in Toram's maps? (the ones with real mesh, rigidbody collider, and not just 2D image on a single plane placed as billboard).
Make them (Altos) stuck on a tree, and your life will be much easier.

Oh, and the hole which was once may lead you to Rokoko City, that's just the perfect spot to rape some Altos.

 

Imitator battle ig counts? The tentacles will always interrupt your attack unless you stand close to the heart of Plastida, or if your just really good at avoiding 6 aoes at once.

 

welp everyone got different opinion..for me bkod map just for sake fancy tho.. idk which aoe but i definitely can see easily red color/different blue/rainbow color in that map..perhaps its just ur screen?or mybe my device too good?it remain as 7 mystery of toram..xD

 

Oh! The Sofys Goddess of Knowledge battle had that exact battle system you described. The battle took place on a giant chess board enclosed in a bird cage floating through a gigantic library. And of course, since she was the goddess of knowledge, a lot of your attacks had to be strategized to outsmart her.
The battle was slow paced, yet just as intense because one wrong move either resulted in disadvantage or death.
