Any tips on successfully casting finale?

    I just recently got to level 150 but that 3 secs of cast time always gets me hit and cancels the cast. I switched over to mage cuz it better suits my play style now but even very slow monsters cancel out the cast. Any tips you can give me?

    Use swift tag for slightly faster cast (impact, finale swift). Use sneak skill to prevent getting aggro or partial - aggro gear. When solo, use -90% to -100% aggro gear with a defender merc instead of sneak. Learn boss patterns to time your casts to avoid aoes.

    The only way to work around the time successfully is
    1) don’t cast around mobs and
    2) only start combo when boss is performing a long cast skill and you’re in the clear

    No additional skill no tank not pt member can help u other wise, it’s all about timing

    Aim for 2k mp ^^ Two chances to hit finale that way ^^

    Also I sometimes stun and pray the next hit will guard or not flinch using heavy armour can help sometimes.

    Either that or I try impact swift finale only boosts it a bit but sometimes your pretty safe to finale.

    Finally another option I do is sneak finale and wait till I learn the patterns or bosses and cast away

    A lot of tanking or long cast times is just learning the boss to adapt and know when is best to strike :)

    Maybe till you learn timings you could take off combos till your comfortable and have adjusted to timings?

    maybe the incoming skill balance will improve Ether Coat.
    it's the only skill that prevents spell canceling 100%.
    but as it is now, it's not really usable...

    Finale never misses, but you have to successfully hit your desired target.
    For example Ornlarf:
    (1) You cast a finale (be it swift or finale)
    (2) During the last seconds of your cast Ornlarf "decides" to use a charge attack
    (3) At the moment your cast finishes, it will have locked a specific set of "coordinates", that place your target was when your cast finished
    (4) But Ornlarf continues with his charge, so he's not in that specific pinpointed location
    (5) You will hit your finale on a place where no one is OR you are indeed able to hit Ornlarf, but not as ''direct'' as desired, hence lowered damage

    If my explanation sucks or if there's any misinformation, do point it out

    Ether barrier is still a sad sad 5 seconds - I'm frustrated that it runs out before i use my impact finale combo :"(

    i use magic lance lvl 6 in a combo before casting finale against minibosses cuz stop ailment is longer than stun but this method only works if the miniboss isnt in the middle of using a skill against you

    When farming certain mobs:
    Wall->Impact->Finale works, since wall keeps certain mobs from getting close enough to attack you.
    Of course, mobs that attack from 5m+ away exist so...
    You usually want to be furthest distance possible from the target (ie 12m).

    Also -100% aggro doesn't mean you don't get aggro...I've been targeted with 100% aggro a couple of times (pt not dead)
    It doesn't happen a lot though. It's why I'm using candy coryn instead of venena staffs...

    Some of these staffs have "Tumble unavailable" and idk about Flinch unavailable but they could help.
    It means that you're probably losing that im7int14 statting though.

    Finale generates 100 aggro per second while casting. this is fixed and therefore unaffected by aggro stats and Sneak Attack.
    those stats do not protect you. they make you unable to inflict tumble or flinch on your targets.
    the only way to prevent magic flinch is Ether Barrier, but currently the skill is very underwhelming.
    send feedback if you want to have it changed.

    So basically wall > finale would be like an equivalent of firewall > jupitel thunder

    Wall is not as strong as storm but it keeps mobs at bay..
    ..... nice nice


    Except for me cause I’m using queen’s staff
