An idea for an entire magic rework

    As everyone said, mage is rooted when casting, can't dodge boss skills and likely to die first in the battle. This is acceptable if mage get higher dps like other games, but no, this game is not.

    As for me, after a lot of hard work, I finally got the best equipment +s two slotted with matk xtalls. However, having 3,600 matk doesn't help much, my dmg dealt still about half of other class, sometimes even less than half. I can't even remember when was the last time I got 1st dmg dealt in boss raid.

    I feel like a hindrance in the party and want to delete my char many times after nerf.

    They need to take a step back, and think about what each weapon class is responsible for.

    At the moment Katana and DS are departures from the norm. They are both able to solo without much effort, and make the game waaaaay to easy. I know they're probably trying to satisfy the status quo.

    So trying to nerf/enhance a specific class is pointless at this stage. If FF online and WoW have shown everyone is that class systems are always fucked. Just like real life, every military moved towards guns/rifles. Because why would you use an inferior weapon? Even in Toram's 'classless' system, which if you still believe is classless... They still have the same issue. Hence why the nubs changed to ds and katana, because easy damage makes the peepee bigger.

    > New combo system
    > New proration system
    > Rebuild our weapon/skill system. To provide them with functionally different roles. Where all skills have benefits/trade offs.
    > New crafting/refining system.
    > Make all personal stats influence skills/effects.
    > Give every country their own world servers...or at least make them regional.

    I believe mage need its own tier 5 skill or new skill tree to evolve current mage

    Bruh they will get rework soon anyway why bother and nvr saw party that noob in my whole 2.5 years gameplay, U might even see after 2 or 3 weeks lf3m mages only somewhere along those lines.
    Mages have their own set of advantages.
    U dont need to bother too much about gear upgrades.
    I 2s heavens feather garb recently and it will last at least 1 year
    T.grievance wont be outdated anytime soon
    Philospher ring is god lvl ring and will scale better than regular magic talismans after stat cap inc.
    Ur saying they spam like madman
    They also die in 1 hit too
    Lez talk about other weapons anyway since mages have so many disadvantage and others are so superior.

    Bish plz they are my proration slaves no matter what they do in pt my dmg inc also it is 2nd most famous weapon that is used by noobs. Coz spamming dont require too much brains.
    Their gears are not even compatible with any other phy dps u use (Tho weapon with least disadvantage).

    Halberd The strongest weapon in the game well not so strong.
    No invincible skill fragile af needs tons of spina to get to top has tendency to miss autos so very often cant even prorate for themselves properly in pt why need meikyu all the time or 100 crt geii
    Nee i seriously wonder tho why people dont use chronos drive when it restores mp as well prorates magically (couldbe wrong here tho) something like impact dt smite c.drive save finale smite and have high ampr and use autos to recover mp.     One more thing sir unless i get hit by gwaimol (ultimate) magic fireball in mid finale cast i can tank that boss till whole pt revives with 15k hp can u do the same??? Same goes for rest of bosses in toram. And yeah i can revive them too have-100% aggro too (dayum food buffs are blessing) first aid so the ded tank can take aggro from me quickly or ded so called phy dps which will die again and i will revive em again they will die again and i will revive em again and cycle continues iirc i had this situation in venena

    Emp I understand what you’re saying but I guess like me your mage is a semi tank with lots of vit, but truly that isn’t a class issue but a player issue since many dps nubs refuse to invest into vit, buuut if they did they would survive more and still be able to spam combos like a madman. Honestly 2-3 seconds is a long time in battle, a ds user can impact sc 3-4 times within that space of time , so if we were to check damage over time even though your finale hits rly hard, the spd at which other classes execute their combos over time can meet or surpass your single hit, with that provided that u don’t get flinched in the process or die.

    Like i said asobimo fixing that u will soon see a decent dps magic branch skill tree no need to tell how superior ds and rest of weapons are who knows in few weeks u will see lf3m burst or nothing its dont take long to change meta in this game nothing is forever

    Chronos does damage based on magic proration, but it effects physical proration. It does not magically prorate at all.

    I am pretty sure their "rework" is more on adjusting the amount(increase) of constant on every skill and the reduction of cast time for recharge.

    Aso need to do testing and play the game to see the pros and cons of their deaigns. I feel they just add and boom change is done without proper test imo like how they messed up finale skill and ignoring decoy's OP ampr capability and not nerfing the crap out of it.

    I just can't wait mages to ahine ones more since I really love the class. :(

    Imagine if Arrow/Lance did 20-40k per projectile?
    Imagine if Javelin did a burst of 50k
    Imagine if wall did 50k damage a tick.
    Storm could remain the same. These skills could scale exponentially so that when you are low int or low matk you deal little damage and the higher matk you have you can see these numbers..

    Javelin having 100% ailment inflict rate
    Lances 100% stop rate on staff
    Finale being a skill like garyou with something 100 multiplier and 5k constant and a crazy description
    A magic skill that cant be stopped and will never miss. But needs time and preparation. Ffs its a 1600mp skill.
    Impact hmm no changes here its an ultility skill
    Wall more range on staff and more knockback rate.
    Blast lol just make it a dps skill why does it even has ailment when javelin can do a better job.
    Or something like a buff skill that increases pt and ur matk.
    Storm no changes here may be more more skill multiplier.
    Burst should be insta cast should have increased skill multiplier and power for staff.
    Mp charge should have 1 sec cast time.

    Chain cast should be a passive skill that boost animation and cspd of all skills in magic skill tree.
    50% ms if non cast and 100% cspd/1k cspd boost if cast.
    Power wave should inflict neutral proration with magical properties if staff is equipped in other words autos wont miss like mayam said it should take dmg value from matk on staff/md.
    Maximizer is op already.
    There should be penality for all magic skill if staff/md not equipped.

    I came back to look at this thread and there are lots of good ideas ^^ Although I think along with a magic rework, I think it would be cool to add more bonuses to magic devices aside from range and ailment chances. Like for example, maybe magic pierce on main DPS skills?(like it used to have on holy light) or additional damage taken from physical ATK?(since they gain it at double the rate from INT than staffs do) Idk just something else would be nice so there are more options for mages and more opportunities to take advantage of what magic devices have to offer. It would be great to see more MD players aside from farmers, which even those are becoming less common now since the finale nerf. I may be biased since I've mained MD since the beginning so maybe this is overall unnecessary haha but I can only hope!

    The problem with mages are their potential, it's pretty much capped now and you won't get anything higher than what most physical classes could do. Physical classes got so much boost with critical damage, unsheathe attack, srd/lrd, elemental bonus, physical pierce gears. On the other hand Finale's high skill constant is a double edge sword that's powerful even without proper gears, but can't really be enhanced the way physical skills do. Magic pierce is considerably hard to get, matk won't give as much boost since the skill constant is big. Magic crit is so hard to achieve on top of not very rewarding, and finale doesn't have element bonus from main ele Stat. You can have a 4.6k magic attack with 30% magic pierce after splurging a huge amount of spina on 2 slotted gears and it won't even match a tenryu with a bunch of odelons on 1 slotted gears. Halberd is hard to use and need a considerable amount of investment but the potential is higher than finale with their high crit max physical pierce skill in dragon tooth.

    The problem itself actually has been there ever since it was released. Finale has an early growth with low potential.

    So now that we've reached this point of time, there is a need of a revamp or enhancement. It's the main magic tree and what's an mmorpg without magic? It doesn't have to be an instant boost to match the others but I would like something with higher potential

    Maybe just maybe, they improve the ailment status on bosses. For example, fire ele staff can inflict ignite on bosses and burn them dealing damage damage per second based on max hp, or maybe slow or bind. That would certainly be awesome and fun

    Low growth potential is actually better than poor implemented skills. A rework in formula is needed for better damage scaling i myself have 4.4k matk atm and dont feel even slightly stronger than a mage with 3.5k matk. Arent mages supposed to be humanity trump card or something every isekai /adventure genre manga/game ive read/played mages have best offense except this game kinda funny tbh

    First, nerf decoy on non-bow characters..
    MP gain should be somewhat mages' specialty.
    With decoy and its high ampr around, it's quite ruining that.
    All of the class available already has their own unique skill to regain MP, though not as efficient as mages.
    Decoy kinda ruins this balance(or making it more unbalance) between mages and physicals.

    Honestly, I feel like aso just needs to add more battle mechanics to make builds different. Apostalia, stat cap raise, combo system rework, guard eva system rework, more gimmicks such as irunas monk energy system, Asura Aura (More energy = higher atk, but energy rate goes down with every attack) or the bishop Judgement system (When using dps skills, attack goes up over time but healing profieciency goes down, vice versa). More stuff like that, yknow?

    I was expecting a proper rework of the entire tree instead all they did was boost the multipliers, lul I am so done with this.
    I hope you all realize that if you are not from the jp server your feedback is meaningless, it does not matter like at all.
    I sent a 3 email long review of the entire tree after they asked for player feedback which they didnt even send an automated response for. I had a shimmer of hope that maybe they will change AT LEAST a couple of skills majorly and not just go "power up, done."
    Never gonna waste my time writting such a long feedback ever again. I hope you all enjoy your mobile games.
