    I think its nice coz there are bosses like tuscog thats interrupt reactive on its later hp part. For me its helpful coz my build kinda adjust to what i think fits. And its only 3 taps away on changing sets of skills with similar opener. We may put skills in shortcut and itll be more easier if u put it in very top of 1st shortcut pages.
    But its useless if build only uses 1-2 sets of combo and dont have the ability to adjust

    Here is one example its useful for someone like me

    In that video the 2nd boss is guignol. Just like the normal boss it changes its color (resistance) in an interrupt so its better to dont interrupt him so itll be easy for dps to deliver dmg. I can easily make same combo with different opener withoutthe problem of not enough combo points

    And there are bosses like finstern dragon that we unable to inflict flinch,stun,tumble at his early hp. But later we can. With these combo changes we can construct more combo than usual and choose to use any very fast.

    And for my tank i can easily replace impact with rage sword if the boss is tumble reactive. Both skills will cut my next mp cost to half but rage sword wont tumble.
    Honestly i think this changes is Tailor Made for mah tank. Thanks Suzuki P hope soon youll develop a passive skill that will give MP for every % of damage received. I still think youre a pervert tho :p

    Here is another example.
    This is my hb meele combo. Its also my combo i rely on chrono drive for that added mp regen.

    But the opener is meelee. But with this new update i can easily duplicate that with a range as opener that allows me to cast it even on a long distance.

    So much flexibility are added now for combos. But the question is " ARE YOU FLEXIBLE? "

    while what you thought is pretty good if implemented, i do say aso decision to not giving a switch shortcut is right. It would make the game less difficult and become more monotone, considering how easy it will be used (press switch and you can easily have another combo with the same opener). Not to mention the combo switch implementation will be unfair to some build *ahem, tenryu*
    to be honest i was hoping they'll change the useless combo tag like tenacity and mind's eye, but seems like they dont even know how useless these combo tags

    im sorry, but i really cant see it the way you see it, i dont think giving a simple Quality of Life feature for turning off/on combo in the shortcut will automatically make the game "easy and monotone" like you claimed, you know that asobimo brought this all by themself, they want player to feel more convenient when playing so why half-assed it? they already implemented a switch for shortcut, increased the shortcut slots and just recently make a combo can be turned off/on during combat also let people to make combos with same opener , so making a shortcut for turning off/on combo wouldnt be a stretch IMHO, its purpose is still for a smooth gameplay

    I’ve been hoping for new combo tags/ combo tag rebalance for a long time. We always use the same 3 or 4 tags for everything.

    Well i think the additional shortcuts was in preparation to this. With all 5 combos but with a different opener, we can put those openers now in shortcuts. Funny is the guard active shortcut might be added soon too :D

    If they do this, I hope they make skills/rebaksnce skills to work better with combo tags. That Mind's Eye doesn't synergize well with Shield Cannon because Mind's Eye doesn't give bonus damage, bugs the crap out of me.

    (Also that Tenacity doesn't give a HP regenration buff to refund lost HP, but meh, we'll see if they do anything.)

    use minds eye as a combo ender to keep an eye on the timer.
