Is it possible? If i level to lets say 170, then use skill reset book and only use that char for production class.

I dont like the idea of having to spread out the production through 2-3 characters like most guides ive seen have suggested.

Production class consist of alchemy (buff maker+ 3/4locks), refining, blacksmith (equipment crafter) and customize the equipment aka statting. Tbh, its hard to put everything in one character but you can split it into two category. One category must has 255 tech as mandatory which are
    a) alchemy
    b) refining
    c) customize the equipment/statting
As for equipment crafter, no need 255 on tech. For the conclusion, you can make 1 char that has 3 purpose which are can cover alchemy stuff, refining stuff (0 to +B) and statting equipment.

For a Luk character, you can use it to farm mobs and to refine from B-S.

You can make a battle-crafter (I guess?) character. Since crafting requires you to max certain stats depending on what you want to craft for the max potential. You do have to cut some corners though, mainly skills used for combat. I have a Str-Dex crafter who's also a pretty decent boss farmer using a katana.

OK. So 1 char can do everything except create equipment? Is that because the equipment is based off your main stat? Like dex for bows/katana, str for swords?

Haha you just answered my other question :)

This crafting all seems so complicated to me. So a Luk Mage would be good for doubling as refine char too?

Maybe Ill just build an all-in-one char and just buy equips from people? I usually prefer farming and killing bosses anyway.

Unfortunately you can't make a LUK+TEC char, so you would need at least 2 characters to cover those key stats for production.

Best I can suggest is a VIT/TEC production char with both blacksmith and alchemy profs levelled, so you can create your own arm, stat, refine it (up to +B), and then apply a different app against it (with different dyes too)... all within a single character! Only challenge would be to keep it leveled in future caps though...

A luk character is only good for B-S refining. For 0-B you still need a tec character.

I myself don't have a statter. I mean, it's better if you can do most by yourself, but that would be a hard thing to do, especially for newer players.

IMO refiners are a must, since there are untradable equipments that are really good (Hell Reaper, Proto CR, etc.), you can't ask others to refine it for you.

2 characters, if you want to refine to +S
    1st - TEC char - stat/craft pots/refine 0 to B
2nd - LUC char - usually mage, refine B to S, grind mats

and then if u want to be a crafter the stats get dist. differently depending on what you want to craft.
    some ppl do
    ie -
Dex BS - craft bows/1h, also used as an archer (full tec > dex)
Vit BS - craft armor, also used as tank char (full vit > tec)
Int BS - craft staff, also used as mage (full int > tec? (i think))
    idk the other crafters...haha

As mentioned above no, it is not possible to make an all in one because certain things require different stats.

So is the TEC or LUK character the Alchemist? I have a LUK Mage(only lvl70), and im thinking of making a Katana TEC since my main is Archer and Im gonna want DEX gears.. Or do I have it backwards?

For now Im just enjoying exploring and slow leveling my Archer(currently 98)

Tec is the alchemist, gear customizer and refines from 0-B.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help. I ended up making a Tech Smith/Alchemist. Just got it to lvl 105. I refined my first weapon and armor to +E and it is very satisfying. Also put a few stats on my Bow, although it only had 50 potential I just wanted to try it out.

Soon I will start Alchemy. Just need a few more lvls to max Tech stat, and farm up some flower nectars and medicine points.. Planning on using Barzeft's guide, so it should be simple enough.

    Much appreciation to all :D

Update. Got gear to +7%atk, +11 crit, crit chance and crit%
    All gears is +E.
Synthesist up to lvl 75 atm and making a few pretty pennies selling revita 4s.

    I have 2 questions tho.

    1. At what point do I need to use anti-degradation potions?

    2. What exactly is 3 lock? I think its to do with equipment synthesis, but I have no idea how to even get started with that.

    1. I usually start using anti degras when refining from +9 and above.
    2. There's a skill in the Alchemy skill tree called "Synthesize Equipment" which allows you to combine 2 equips into one while choosing which of the 5 parts you want to keep (appearance, dye 1, 2, and 3, and stats). The term 3 lock means that you can select up to 3 parts, and the rest will be randomized. To get 3 lock you'll need to be at synthesist proficiency lv100.

Update: Got my Synth lvl 150, 4lock ready to go :)
I used tasty honey from lvl 105-150. About 4 stacks without fail, even tho lvl was much higher prof lvl.

Quick question about BS. My char is only lvl 135. I know I need 190 for crit statting, but what lvl is "enough" for statting things such as Magic Devices, Staves, and Mage armors? Im thinking about upgrading my Luk Mages gear and hoping I can do the stats myself.

not just crit statting, the lvl requirement is for statting all weps/armors. as long as u want +19 stats, you'll need to be 190...otherwise, it's the first 2 numbers of the lvl in increments of 10. so when lv200 comes out and u want to stat +20, u'll need to hit cap. otherwise, like you are right now at lv135...u'll notice u can only stat up to +13
