Is it necessary to own land?

Hello! Hamster is back!
I read through various things about owning a land in Toram and cooking, however, nowhere is mentioned whether it's absolutely necessary and without it, it will be difficult to play or if it's something I can do without?

It’s not necessary to own land at all in toram, but you should purchase land if you want pets to aid you in fighting.

 

Thank you! I'm not really interested in the pets, but someone told me that the cooking is necessary for later in the game so I wanted to verify before I just throw out spina!

 

Cooking buff is really helpful indeed. It would be good if you cooked food yourself, but it’s okay if you don’t. Just steal food from others...

If I want cooking buff... I just steal food from my guild mates or from random people

U have 5 slot for food buff, but 1 of the slot is reserved for your own food. So, not cooking ur own mean u lose out on 1 free buff.
Edit : also, people are much more likely to add you if u have a good food buff to offer.

 

even if you do not cook yourself, you must own land to visit other players land and steal their food

 

Its very necessary ( I struggled to spell this word idk why xD)

Alot of builds require food buffs to actually work, example lvl 8 mp 720mp , hp buff lvl 8 being 3800 hp and crit rate lvl 8 +22, very beneficial and op and even if u can only eat and have friends with level 5 or so it helps a lot.

Create land and start cooking something decent, I recommend hp, mp, ampr, crit rate (this is the best i think along with ampr), -+agro, mgic & phys resist, weapon atk..choose something u need the most for yourself.

Make friends with people with buffs and if you in a Guild u can use their food buffs. It's really worth it. It's better to cook something first and then eat all your friends and guildies buffs and it will last 12 hours, if u don't cook your own buff before eating others then there's a timer on everyone elses buff whenever they initially cooked, so you could go to someones land and eat and it ends in 15 minutes if u didn't cook your own buff first, it can be annoying, so just cook you're own before eating others.


Pets...i played toram for 4 years and never gave a fudge about pets, but as toram got more boring and there were uneventful events with meh drops this year I started showing interest in pets and I wish i had done so earlier, because pets can be extremely op. It's always hard to find a tank but if u know how to make the right pet on most bosses u won't need to be shouting lfm need tank xD
So yeah need land for pets if u ever get curious about them

And lastly it's fun to design your own land and inv your friends over and hangout at your land.

It's an integral part of toram, well imo so save up that 10k and make land.. U won't regret

If u don’t have a food buff what will happen is that you’ll individually lose all your acquired buffs and it can be inconvenient, for eg if u have 4 buffs each player would have a different timers one maybe 2hrs another 5 and so on, meaning you will have to be keeping tabs on individual buffs , however, if u have food cooked then all your acquired buffs will last as long as your own buff is active even if your friends timer has run out you still will have the buffthe buff. So yes it is important in the long run, if you’re unsure as to what to cook just cheap out and use the random cook option until you decide what to focus on.

 

you dont need land its just a way to pass time and brag, but it wastes alot of spina. you can use it to cook buffs though.
