New Guard system infos

    My guess is guard reduces ailment rate by 25% or so, then the passive skill from guard tree enhances that ail resist by 2.5*skill level, and the hp needed to proc the ailments res boost by something like (10*skill level) % so at max level you get max ail resist at maxhp amount minimum. Its just a guess tho, but when you're not guarding ailment resist works just fine.

    instead of Guard Rate you got the same amount of Guard Recovery, just like on equipment.

    It's still a useful 1MP skill but it's hard to see where it'd be used over regular guard now.

    Most I use it for now is as a guard power up combo for Godhand and crusher skills.

    For the hp heal or any dmg over ur guard limit, or as a last defence when the guard counter is low, tho now my mage never has to get pdef

    I mean, i'm not too skillful to be able use pdef perfectly, and i myself barely use pdef because of it, so it's a good updates for easy going tank to play better

    Tank should still use pdef for heal and 500 aggro. Also your guard has limit, and can't guard meteor and spikes

    Vs Maton normal, test and commentary in video, tho from what I now understand, guard only reduces ailment chance not outright eliminate it.

    Does skills add stacks/charges on evasion? Becoz I was using my dw w/ light armor and my limit was 8, but while I'm in the battle testing evasion. It rose up to 10 after using my buff combo w/ reflex & fb on it. Gonna test it later tho.

    tested lv10 physical guard passive with 255 MTL + 28% ailment resistance in iconos ulti and it seems when guarding the ailment still manage to penetrate the resistance like in 20-30s fully guarding incoming attack, the ailment penetrate once or twice.
    Need to craft dragoon mail to see if the extra ailment resist will give any benefit

    edit: lol forgot i'm broken rn and too lazy to farm any mats

    update: tested with 255 MTL + 60% ailment resistance in iconos ulti, and it seems the ailment still breakthrough the resistance when do guard stance. Gotta test if it only happen when get ailments like flinch etc. or ignite, poison and the kind that give debuff work the same as flinch and the other since i can't remember iconos giving any ailment debuff, only flinch, tumble, and stun. (edit: sorry the actual ailment resistance from gears is +60%)

    update2: tested with 255 MTL +60% ailment resistance at ifrid normal, and it seems the ignite can breakthru the ailment resistance when doing guard stance (lol)

    verdict: i'm 85% sure doing guard stance will hard cap the ailment resistance, the rest 15% is still uncertain if it's actually hard capped or the ailment resistance reduction is too much to handle, because i won't manage to get a total 157% (the highest ailment resistance that i can think of) ailment resistance at any circumstance

    How come you have 255 MTL (which is 75% ailment resistance) +28% extra (total 103%) and still get ailments at Iconos?

    It's the new guard system traits, when you aren't guarding the ailment resist work like usual, but when you do guard, that resist somehow didn't as effective as how it supposed to be, so I'm testing if while guarding make the ailment resist got hard capped at under 100% or the ailment resistance only got reduced.
    Tho the problem is if the ailment resist got decreased, how much do i need to add for ailment resistance become 100% again while guarding since i can only manage to get 136% ailment resistance at most (and from what i've seen if someone actually dumb enough or have too much money, at most they can get 157% ailment resistance with the help of 3 x 10% ailment resist in ava stat. Well, 142% if you assume the ava only got 5% ailment resist for three of it)

    ailment resist become not 100% is just when you do guard stance. When you doing other things the ailment resist seems to be working perfectly, so you can rest assured that atleast it wont change tank toward the worse gameplay much

    I'm using 255mtl+25% ailment resist, and ailment resist works as normal even when guarding...

    well, i tested it by kept doing guard stance till i get an ailment, so there's a chance that the ailment resist cap (100% in normal circumstance) got decreased each time you continuously guarding.
    Or you just dont guard enough to see yourself receive the ailment....
    In the first place it's not like guard will decrease the ailment resist cap drastically till say 50% or so. So you wont notice it in a short time, but legit if you do a pretty long run and kept using guard, there'll be a time where you'll get an ailment (unless you know which attack pattern that giving ailment)

    Either way, thanks for reminding me
