Help with making BS Archer

    Im trying to make a BS (Tech>Dex) character which would be able to 4lock, Refine+B, Statting, Making Potions. I would like to invest the least amount of skill points for these 4 tasks and invest the rest in the Archer skill tree since it is such a pain to level up. I have a few questions:

    1.) Which skills are necessary(Blacksmith and Alchemist Skill Tree)how many points should I invest?
    2.) What is are good equipment for archers(Armor, Weapon, Additional Gear, Special Gear) along the way for leveling up?
    3.) Which xtalls should I put in each(1s each equipment because I only have like 10m spinas)

    If you aren't going to craft HPO and gonna take full material costs of statting, then this one should work to "4lock, Refine+B, Statting, Making Potions".
    If you want to craft HPO, you should pick last synth bottle + expert synth = spend extra 20 sp
    If you want to stat with less materials, you should level bs proeficiency to current cap (185). In order to, you should spend more 27 sp on anvils. You can consider more 20-25 points on crafting line (create equip, careful creation and expert's creation) to make your crafted weapons a bit better, definitely not a need tho.

    I thought about making a BS archer on based what you have said. I would like to maximize the capabilities of what BS character can do without sacrificing its combat capability like investing less skill points and dealing a decent amount of damage for the sake of leveling in the future.

    but I have a problem since I dont have enough skill points to allocate for a 4lock. I dont want to sacrifice the combat capability of the archer since BS characters are a pain to level up.

    Did I mess up in the(Planned) skill distribution? Since I dont wanna waste any skill points, what would you do to salvage this? I dont mind getting some points back in the archer & monofunu skill tree.

    My skill distribution in the attached picture. Reset coming soon and I dont want to screw this up:confused:

    This a bit different from what I suggested, tho. I don't know what you're crafting with synth, but anything except HPO doesn't need the second line of synth tree maxed. You could get ride of entire second line and leave item synthesis at lv5. Another suggestion is creating a side character with 255 tec and putting refine skills there. 255 tec is achievable with relatively low effort, at least for me it's around lv65. This way you could remove the refine line of smith skill. Also, lock4 only needs first two anvils maxed.

    I wouldnt suggest making a Tec/Dex char as your statter. Reason is because BS prof level reduces your mat cost when statting, and this char will only focus on alchemy prof. Better would be focus it on alch+synth only, and prepare another BS crafter char as your statter. For remaining SP, you can focus on making the char viable in battle (really only need snipe+CF+decoy)

    Oof.. I already leveled my bs prof to 160. Well I dont mind making my Synthesis profi useless since I invested way more spina on leveling my BS prof. Guess I'll change this character to my BS Vit since reset is still up. Mind showing your BS Vit skill tree for reference?

    My Tec/Vit smith char only has the Smith tree learnt for now. I'll figure out how to build it as a tank after all the fixes are done on the new guard mechanic. :rolleyes:

    FYI i have 3 production chars that each specialize in 2 things each. 1) Tec/Dex for Alchemy+Synth. 2) Tec/Vit for ArmBS+Refining and 3) WepBS+Statting. Covering 3 roles in any one of these chars feels too heavy on the SP and doesnt leave much left for battling ability. This feels nicely spread out.
