I think some dw builds use it cuz of the added aspd but doesn't shining cross benefit from long range damage as well? And since ww has -14% long range, wont that drastically affect dmg? Just learning dw now and want to create a build so pardon my lack of knowledge.

Edit: Bonus question, full beard's stats seem really awesome but I think stability is also great for dw, which is why snowman on the head is a viable choice. Which one do you think is better dmg and utility wise? Stability and hp seems nice but the aspd, str and srd seem really good.

For damage purposes, sc should always be cast within 4m from target, otherwise your damage lowers. Because of this, there isn't much of a problem using ww.

-14% LRD only affects Storm Reaper which is fine imo since you don't really use it as a main dps skill.

I see, so lrd only applies if ur actually dealing it from far away? I thought its just a constant that as long as the skill can deal dmg from far away, it gets added immediately even if dealing dmg from short range. I thought this was the reason builds max out long range from shot skills.

Thats true for long range skill, from shot tree, only, but lrd/srd are based on distance you cast your skill.

i thought -14% long range occurs when you do skills that can be casted from 8m or more like DT for example and Snipe.

SRnis anclose range right? does the damage reduce when you land?

I guess it works as a LRD because the weapon hits the target after you jump far away from him

Srd/lrd takes effect right before casting, not after. I remember an retarded experienced hb user saying dt first hit is always long, while second hit is always short because that kind of logic, so ig it's a common misconception.

My own opinion about storm reaper working like this is just to avoid someone abusing its own 100% srd boost effect
