The 2 things I've said are things the devs have promised 3 years ago. Are you not able read what you quote?

Everything you just said is asinine when there's like multiple mobile mmorpg with pvp that runs well. Your self entitled opinion about pvp balance doesn't matter at all because it's completely subjective and can be adjusted by devs. Chill

Fact is they still haven't released more since launch, doesn't matter when they promised what. And like Saixe said, your argument doesn't hold up very well if there is working pvp in other mobile mmos..

Okay, tell us which mobile mmorpgs with pvp elements you are talking about then. Because I am pretty sure most pvp elements on mobile mmorpgs are either side scrolling combat, or turn-based combat, or a no auto-targetting combat system.

Asobimo has pvp mmos under their belt, but if they plan to use those pvp systems, Toram's auto-targetting skills have to be abandoned during pvp battles. Having no Auto-targetting makes all of Toram's single target non-aoe skills almost all worthless. Related to this, you also have to think of the reason why Toram has auto-targetting anyway, and why Toram has a dodge stat in the first place: It's to lessen the amount of skills where the game needs to perform hitbox collision calculations. With no auto-targetting, all skills will need to perform hitbox collision calculations. It will certainly feel like a totally different game by then. :V That's a lot of things the Toram devs have to change in order to implement pvp-ala Avabel/Aurcus onto Toram. With the current pace, we might not see pvp happen until maybe 2 years. =m=

Phoenix, you just called out the non-pvp enthused half of the community to being idlers who are "content with the lack of game content", (content which you guys are more interested in anyway)did you really expect us to not say something about it?

Most mobile mmo nowadays have auto aim with auto everything. It will only boil down to which mmo got feature that is appealing to consumers. Pvp on toram game structure will suck, proof? Check out the snowball fight, that alone will show how the main toram catch phrase will steer to hax republic(i mean by the time a skill will hit the target you already spammed 4 combos) connection alone is a major factor and it will mostly not an arms race it will be bandwith supremacy. You know that the moment pvp is implemented farm bots will invade to destroy the market. Having pvp here equate to pulling a cork in the ship. And this ship will surely sink. Pvp maybe inevitable, maybe it is time to make a rain check and jump ship.

Yup trades like these do exist even decades ago. Why bother buying fancy ava gears? Only thing it can do is add a few value of the account. Why bother investing actual money to buy orbs when real money can be earned by swagging around, kicking ass and spending a few spina for gears? Asobimo can never touch outside transaction and if the victim is gullable enuf, scammed. What reputation? It can always be re-made with a new account, lawyers can do no crap if the victim is a dumb-ass. They can only sue thin air.

I can't really imagine the number of bugs asobimo would fix to implement pvp. They're even still having trouble implementing some features. PC game will be another thing, but Toram is a mobage. Most mobile games which have pvp are really different from Toram in battle system. Adding a pvp for Toram is as similar as to make an entirely new game.

@WindSlash As i said. Asinine and No. I'm not gonna hand out dozens of auto targetting pvp pve games in the mobile market.

And Auto targetting won't be an issue at all as it already is being done in toram "with mobs and bosses"(mindblowing right?). Besides we have a crap ton of invicibility or guard skills to play with to simulate non auto lock games(MINDBLOWING RIGHT?).

PVP wont be entirely different to what it is now as it'll be using the same combat style as PVE . Albeit with some adjustment on skills, damage or ailments formula for PvP.

Jumping the gun that PVP is always gonna be bad because toram has a history of hiccups and unfixed issues isn't progressive at all but just be in total denial of the possibilities of a good PVP content. Asking for a flawless PVP content or anything at all is just wishful thinking. It's a "TOXIC" way of thinking.

And there it is again. The typical pvp fanatic's response to logical arguments: Insulting the other person and calling them toxic. I'm gonna attach this vid here to be a reference to my argument about why Toram has to change a lot of things in order to entertain a pvp mode in this game.

Mind you, the vid is about mmorpg titles of more powerful gaming platforms, yet the same concepts is still applicable to mobile mmorpgs as a whole.

Remember, Toram has touted itself as a "classless" "mobile" "action mmorpg". In that vid, the speaker described action combat systems to be "limited in abilities and class choices due being expensive to engineer." But Toram ambitiously dreamed to be, a classless mobile mmorpg, which led to the current problem it has that I have constantly been trying to point out: gameplay experience consistency.

Toram has too many skills, too many choices of builds, and sometimes too much variance in even between 2 almost identical builds. And all that complexity is present in a mobile game. This situation has led to inconsistent gameplay experience, which sometimes become evident whenever we keep seeing the "disconnected" and "reconnecting to server" messages, even in just party play.

And now, we comeback to introducing pvp into Toram. I am gonna say it again, Toram is too over-engineered to afford to directly apply pvp concepts with how combat works as it is. The simplest solution is to make a mode that is a very-very-very dumbed down version of the current combat system (snowball fight is an example) or make a mode where players are only able to select from a limited skill pool to lessen the amount of processing and data transmission that both the servers and our devices have to perform.

All this makes me feel that applying pvp is like fattening an adult elephant that we are about to stuff into a standard 2-door 7ft high refrigerator. There might be a way to do it, but it looks to be a monumental task.

@WindSlash i'm just being positive on the possibilities of a staple game mode applied on a game with an already interesting variance and combat style for that game mode. While not being too "over concerned" on gameplay consistency and balance. As it can be fixed or improved upon which you seem to make it sound like their making a rocket ship with a fruit salad or the elephant thing. Meanwhile that game mode will not affect your overall character progression as it is an entirely different game mode.

Besides i see the toram team more of a pioneer than the usual copy paste game companies. They innovate. It's a challenge, yes. But nothing stays a fruit salad or elephant for so long.

There are few key points to be changed first but that will be the death of toram.

Market need to be abolished to promote fair play and anti exploitation (also include player to player trades too)

Net connection and targeting system need to be rebuilt from ground up. You be sucking more than your thumb if your ping is not up to par

Hack protection need to be secured. As you see, toram net security is thinner than a see through toilet paper. Thus it is even being constantly invaded as we speak.

Maybe i do honey , maybe i do. I mean speculation bias in technological changes over time is a god given gift by gautama cthulu onee chan which makes me better than the crab community including the devs in it.

Well, most gamers SHOULD ALWAYS be concerned of the consistency of gameplay. If we can't even "play" a game due to constant error messages and loading screens, is it still called "playing"?

To describe what the concept of consistency of gameplay is, i am gonna have to modify a popular saying "What You See Is What You Get"(WYSIWYG) into "What You and I See is What You and I Get". If What you see and what I see is different, then there's a big problem that needs to be corrected. And mmo developers all do strive to have their game systems maintain this concept because this is the strength of MMOs in general: to share a gameplay moment with other people.

If two players experience vastly different gameplay despite being in the same fight, the MMO has failed to provide what it was supposed to. That is why consistency of gameplay in mmorpgs is VERY Important.
