[Fun] Alternative BGM

since [Fun] threads are a thing now, i made this to discuss Toram's music.
some tracks are great, others not so much. so how about posting some alternatives and imagine if scenarios?


never was a fan of Flare Volg's BGM. not that it's bad, but somehow i feel it lacks power considering that you are fighting a giant dinosaur inside an active volcano.

i imagine the battle to be more dramatic with this track:


next up is Decel. he had such a cool theme in the tutorial, when you fight him as the final boss of chapter 1 his new theme is just disappointing...
again, it doesn't match the scenery very well.

the other theme would be much more fitting:


then there is Ooze. a little annoying sometimes...

feel free to add your own, i'm not done yet either
and on another note, using other game tunes is more appealing that those ear-bleeding techno squeeks that i hear in most toram videos...
like seriously, if you don't like the original BGM why must you make it worse?

The tension in it is amazing, gives you a 'just before the final struggle' kinda feel.


Favourite hanmei theme, the start leads into and meshes well enough with the core of the song


As soon as I heard this one, I quit the boss fight, spammed YouTube and downloaded it. This is amazing for what is just another one of Toram's passing bosses.

I seriously agree that the unknown threat theme would've suited decel more as a boss ost but now it's a potum theme I think

 

in the alpha/beta version it was used for Undead Dragon Kaiser, but he was never seen again after the official launch.
but i heard Kaiser was very important in Iruna, so he will surely return in Toram eventually.

Speaking of, what's the Irina story surrounding Kaiser?

 

God of the dragon realm kinda like Almas, but thats all episode II. I cant remember why he was even in episode I other than to just test ur strength like Every Npc-Boss Ever

Mochelo, Ruin Golem and Astol all have the same theme, even though they are not related.

i think Mochelo also would go with Warmonger's theme:

as for the hanami tracks, i'll just drop this here

 

so after leveling at Nurethoth for a while, i found his music more and more boring.
it is good as a spiced up version of the map theme, but i feel it lacks the "final boss feeling".

finding an alternative is difficult, since Nurethoth moves too fast for those menacing organ tunes.
so considering Triel's speech before the battle, i thought the fight could also have some heroic music:

as for Minotaur, it's kinda catchy but doesn't really fit.

ugh... Scrader. it's loud, unmelodic and i really don't like it. my least favourite.
again, it's kinda like a remix of the map theme, but i don't like that one either...
i heard some tunes are remixes from Iruna (which is cool, i guess), so i think Toram could also have some remixes of itself. since Scrader is basically an upgraded armored Eerie Crystal, they could have their own theme. surely this wasn't the last time we fight an evil purple crystal.


the next boss is Ruzart. supposedly in his final form, since his story ends there.
he could also have a shared theme with his earlier form and also Goldoon. judging by their appearance, i guess they met the same fate and Ruzart only survived because he didn't complete the transformation like Goldoon did.

(Zolban would also fit in their group)

then we have Evil Crystal Beast/Kyuubey. it first appeared on Nisel Mountain, but Decel was already infested by that time, so it can't be the one who spreads Coenubia.
although it didn't appear to be infested either, until it's transformation. no idea what it really is; but we'll surely meet it again, as Grecia said it didn't die, she only pushed it away.
the music was impressive the first time i heard it, and it still is now.

I think I can explain this one.
The Kaiser line of dragons is pretty much the "chosen" line of dragons meant to be considered Gods between the citizens of Bleudraf, Keldran, and the other Dragonewt Areas. Dragon Lord Kaiser in specific is what Almas is to the humanoid species in Iruna/Toram.

The 1st meeting with Kaiser in Episode 1 of Iruna happens because the MC was chasing a Dark Soldier who had one of the keys to the Dark Manor, which "we" had to access to in order to stop the Dark Legion from invading Iruna (because the dumbasses only wanted to expand Dunkelis' domain... Without her knowledge...). The soldier ended up running and getting killed off by Kaiser, whom we meet at his... home(?) in the Dragonlord Isle and chooses to test us to see if we are going to be capable of dealing with the Dark Legion (note: This is the ONLY battle in all of Iruna that you can "win" by purposely dying because Kaiser will give the key regardless).

The 2nd meeting happens in Episode 2 as you explore the "Dragonewt Dimension" and fight against a much stronger Dragon Lord Kaiser to prove your claim of knowing Kaiser. It is revealed immediately after that fight that the Kaiser you fought is ACTUALLY the Kaiser before the current one, aka the one you fought on Ep1 who appears after the 2nd/Old Kaiser gives you his blessing.

And that's all I can remember about the currently Undead Dragon.

 

just cleared the final boss of Another Eden part 1, it was amazing!
the boss had two forms with different backgrounds and music. naturally this system doesn't work for Toram, but maybe it can be done for raid events.
after all, the diving event also changes the music when the kraken appears. perhaps the announced new raid boss event this year will get something like this.
