About why magic sucks right now.

I was caught up thinking about Iruna and Toram and my mind drifted to the Mirror Series of equipment that are well known for their elemental dmg in Iruna and their varied stats. For example, Mirror Sword TST is a variation, T stands for Thunder and ST stands for Strength, so you can imagine the stats it had. Thunder? Thats just fancy word for "This is wind element, you'll do more dmg to water foes". BUT, Thunder is actually different from wind in the way that it's a higher teir element. Thunder element does bonus dmg to wind foes, so instead of doing -25% to wind you end up doing +10%, which isn't much but it's a + is a lot better than a penalty.

So what does this have to do? Well, in Toram we for some reason have very limited fixed element magic, our elemental strength comes from the element in our weapon. Even if you have dmg to ele, if you don't have ele then your magic will still be neutral, but stronger. So I was thinking, what if higher elements come to Toram?

Everything that comes from Iruna to Toram is usually slightly altered, so higher elements might work different. Look at War Cry and Prayer for example; In Iruna they gave Atk+20%Hp+20%/Matk+20%MP+20%, and warcry is a Knight skill, unlike Prier which is exclusive to bishop instead of being a cleric skill. So it makes sense as to why their effects are similar here, and that Prayer is such a late skill compared to War Cry; similar but not exact. So since magic even changes it's name and visual effect depending on what element your weapon is, could higher elements provide another change that maybe even changes the dmg drastically?

Or maybe it will just buff everyone else more, and mage will still be lower in the eyes of everyone, just with bigger numbers.

On meele skills, having an element has a very mild visual impact, and it's not like Dragon Tooth changes to uuuuuh Glacial...Fang... when you use an element. So I'm just speculating, abusing elemental dmg might be more of a magic skills thing in the future, or at least I hope.

I'm aware there are some Sakura and I believe an MD that have element+dmg to ele that cancels out the elemental penalty of attacking mobs and miniboss (Tbc proper bosses, my magic stability is 80% so my testing is probably not accurate) with their same element. But I don't really think that would be a barrier preventing Higher elements from coming to Toram. One could argue that it's already Torams interpretation, maybe having Gaia Element on something would be too confusing so just slap Earth element + dmg to earth. I hope not anyway.

Oh oh, also, Higher Teir elements are Flame, Ice, Thunder and Gaia. Missing something ey? There's no higher teir Light or Dark. Nemesis didn't come in priest did it? And at least I am expecting some form of Necromancy skills, since Dark Energy is just trying to be edgy and are phisical skills, and doesn't tap into the more spiritual aspect of necromancy.

On another note, maybe slight weapon variations might come, Like Magic weaps like Magic Sword, Bow, Staff that have a different stat gain. BuT, IcE lOoKiNg OnEs MaDe FrOm Td MaTeRiAlS hAvE aTk Up bY iNt, yea well Etincelle is a Magic sword with bonus fire magic dmg from str but guess what, it still has atk down by str, not because its stated in the description, but because its Magic Sword part completely changes its atk gain from stats. Stat up by Stat is a thing both worlds (Time Lines?) have but a weapon that is affected by masteries like the weapon it is, but with a different stat gain is something missing in one, so maybe Magic War has hope of becoming easier to use? Special Claw has a rediculous stat gain of +4atk by Str +1atk by Crt unlike claw that has +2 by agi +2 by str (In Iruna) so hope to brawlers?(In case anyone wants to see about that then http://www.iruna-online.info/stats)

I might be delusional, thats always a possibility

BuT hEy tHaTs JuSt A tHeOrY, a GaMe ThEoRy; Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Toram will suck for as long as the iruna devs and toram devs are working seperately, iruna 3 will be what toram should have been from the start

I think toram and iruna dev should start to work together.

    Toram Graphics
    Iruna classes
    Toram red area aoe area
Iruna gameplay with no proration also using normal attack as a main dps.
Toram leveling system +10/-10 lvl has boost xp its been implemented in iruna as an event but i like it
    It will be dope

Surely, Iruna's player base is almost dead. But in Japan, they're at level 360...and there has been no updates for Iruna 3.

The only stats I've found are:

    Toram 150k Monthly downloads
    Alch story 130k "...."
    Iruna......27k "....."

Iruna is surprisingly active. The only thing that kills the player base were the long forgotten exp*1000%. They caught a lot of attention and everywhere was full, but when it ends people are used to a much quicker lvling pace, and the higher lvls are full of people who didn't really know how to play their job and don't have the equipment to do so. So the servers empty out a bit more than usual. There was exp*500% but it didn't hit as hard.

As of this moment it's Milky Way event so even low players have a chance of getting a Nigdu which is always sold for a nice amount of spina, it gives atk up by lvl so people use at least one to up their base and make % more effective. I believe DoC nin and mins get the most benefit since they lack a mastery that increases their base atk.

I stopped Iruna years ago, when I began working full time. But that was around the time Grecia was released, I've checked in over the years...but so much was released.

I found leveling to be a drag without support, and finding English speaking players is near impossible in my time zone.
