    I was honestly thinking about spamming Ether Flare->Imperial Ray combo. Quick YT search came up with few interesting videos, but at this point I feel I should maybe make my own thread instead?
    Gonna post anyway :(

    Knux mage with Imperial Ray.

    Overgeared Staff with Imperial Ray.

    Then... why knux? For aesthetics?

    Well I can't say that aestethics aren't part of the equation. Looking at this thread one can see that MATK that Knux+MD can reach is nothing to sneeze on, with high stability to boot.

    Hey! Creator of the first video here haha... I used master’s Tonfa because pre-anniversary I was able to get significant more MATK with it than staff, and as a bonus it was low budget. Now with anniversary staff I can gain about the same amount of MATK, but with player stats I can get more critical damage using a staff. I just haven’t yet because of spina ^^;

    Hey man, I really can't fault you there, knux is awesome as a weapon, makes you feel like you rely on yourself rather than a weapon. Also, yeah, there is the high stability and MATK but I feel like it's under-utilizing the build if imperial ray is what you're going for, Staff does that better and with STR, gives you some physical attacking bonuses.

    Though... because Imperial Ray is that one weird as hell magic skill that needs muscle strength....

    Critical Damage also acts as a multiplier yet by going for it you neglect other stats making your other magics really lacking unless you focus on Finale, Imperial and Spell Burst.

    It's just incredibly weird to build for imperial ray as a mage as it is right now...

    You haven't tried lightening flame staff? It has nice pierce and cspd.

    Well, the point of Imperial Ray from what I understand is 100% CR for free and easly(cheaply) swappable Element. I guess the Staff build could be tweaked a little with some stuff like adding more flat CSPD and some more CR, so that with help of Element Slash you could make 100% CR Burst with Imperial Ray, but that requires way more work. 6 Staves. Neutral Burst with Imperial Ray feels like a waste of all that STR inventment.

    Spina is what holds us all, monster dropped Tonfas vs player crafted Staff is huge difference. Also thanks for making the video!
