Outdated player stat gears, the type that "nobody will buy" and other failed stat gears would be sold cheap af in CB so that newbies could be able to buy them and make use of it until they are able to afford more updated gears. Idk what stat cap a 3rd or 4th anniv gear would have but...
It would be really nice if a newbie could buy a 3rd anniv sword or something at a price a newbie could afford. That way people wont be so desperate for Spina to buy up to date player stat gears that cost MILLIONS when it's so hard to make a profit from selling things since everything is dropping in price.

At the CB for less than 300K. It might not be mainstream, but it's useful for Knuckles MD Farmer, especially for Farming Summer shells. I was extremely lucky.

So yeah, it could help if cheap ones are sold. However, a higher ATK weapon is always better than a lower ATK weapon, provided both have same Refinement. And high level players want their money back. (They don't understand the concept of value degradation.)Le problem, is that those might never get sold, due to how lists in the CB are shown:

• Latest Registerd
• or Cheapest.

Since Latest registered will also have the strongest and expensive weapons; and cheapest list has those 20-30 ATK weapons, the 3rd anniv/4th anniv weapons might never get shown to newbies.

You know, I was training/guiding a newbie, and he was using a THS. When we got to Flare Volg, he said he wanted to farm it for a while. When I asked why, he said

"This boss has a THS as a drop. Since he is higher than my level, he must drop a stronger weapon than my current one."

I cried internally. This is how progression is supposed to be! Step by step, getting better by hard work.

But then I realised the problem. You can't defeat Flare Volg with its own weapon.
Asobimo didn't think carefully when designing Bosses And Their drops.

Let's see. Volcanic sword, Base ATK 65
Let's assume they use NPC refine, as per game design. The maximum they can refine is +6, since they don't have Access to Mithril ore yet, except spending lots of Spina.

• 65 + (36% of 65) +6 = 94
• Let's assume Player is at level 47, the recommended level.
• That's 119 stat points, so 357 ATK from STR.
• Total ATK = 451
• Let's say base damage is 440 (Don't know Enemy DEF)
• Since not level 70, no tier 3 skills, best skill is Sonic Blade, multiplier 2, then 4.
• Damage = (440+150)*4 = 2360
• Since Mana Points as a concept is not developed, takes a lot of time to properly perform skill.
• Flare Volg health = 50,000

This would take too much time, and Flare Volg will probably kill the player before that.

I took pity and gave him a cheap AF 25,000 spina 490 THS, I had a refiner so refined to +8 (short on Mithril) and gifted to him.

I would love if boss drop weapons were tweaked a little and higher level weapons (and player Statted) have a requirement to be able to equip.

But I want this thrill. Here's how I changed weapons :

• Knuckles
• Iron Knuckles
• Hard knuckles
• Katze Gloves + 5
• Katze Gloves + E
• 5th anniv VII + E (Unstatted)
• 5th anniv VII + B (Current)
• Red steel tonfa + E (Future use)
• Toy Gun + E (Future use)

How many Knuckles are in game?

Yeah its happen but did you know there is "spina method" To buy cheap stuff and sell it higher.
Thats wont work unless you are traped inside a game where all player must work together to finish the game. Because everyone is selfish by nature one way or another.

 

from system side, it's cant and it's unable to help you filter out what is "cheaper" or "outdated", because million can be consider "cheap" for those Bot/RMT player and the so call "outdated" gear actually can be the latest CAP gear ( example CD7%, CD20 ,CR21 for 2 slot adv garb ).

Outdated gear or stat is not the reason for the price drop, is because of the difficulty on obtain the material point or high potential gear. Thus if you want to buy a cheaper stat gear, you should save your spina and spend when summer event coming, because Mana mat is easy to get in this event. And in this event, high potential armor price will increase due to attack stat consume much more potential for armor, this is why mostly before the summer event there is some player ask for the minimum potential needed for the latest stat, so they can stock all those armor in low price and then stat by themselves or direct sell double price in CB.

Beside for a newbie, stat gear wont give you much different compare to NPC/mob drop gear due to low base damage , stat like HP+ or MP+ is much more important in earlier stat. If you can always get a party to leveling, then NPC/mob drop especially event limited gear is recommended until you get the latest tier skill and capable to challenge high level boss, then only is the time for you to consider about Player Stat gear. If you are solo player, then this is another story.

In lastly, just to inform you player stat gear is actually for those end-game player, thus a newbie player can't easily get one in earlier state is consider normal and tbh you don't need it to reach the end-game, not only waste of spina and also it's lose at lot of joy to playing this game.

 

if toram turn into offline game. casual gamer would not able to finish the game easily compare to any other normal rpg offline games

 

Super Sonic Blade is still 1st tier.
the 2nd tier unlocks at lv30, and Spiral Air is the strongest attack.
for ampr there is Trigger Slash.

regarding your damage calculation, you didn't consider Sonic Blade's innate high critical rate. the damage would be at least 50% higher, and with ideal proration (no impact decoy spam yet) the total damage would be tripled again.

 

Okay, I wasn't completely devoted to the calculation. But you make some fair points.
I kinda want an event where you have to defeat the boss with its own drops.
Or a YouTube series where a player only uses the drops he/she gets from Boss monsters to try complete the game.
