Halloween 2020 Skill and Combo changes.

    Haha RIP Impact + x [Smite].

    Just noticed that the first position smite tag is +20%, and each step is +10%. So now you can't spam burst combos, without a trade off. I guess it's to encourage players to experiment with different tags. Rather than spam the same dps skills over and over. So in theory, you'd use other tags and finish with a smite tag?

    I personally found stacking dancer skills with Save>Swift>Swift>...Smite! Definitely didn't improve my dps.

    It makes battles longer. In hindsight it does remove the essence of fastkill, and also discourage botting in some ways. It can be stressful to tanks, but the new tags can help sustain them.
    Plus supports can shine somewhat as field medics, if the meta does adjust to long combos. If not, expect boss battles to be a little bit longer.
    I'm just disappointed how they handled invincibility tho.

    Heal only happens after the duration of its buff just like buster blade. Can't be used contiously.

    CC = Combo Count
    opening skill is CC1, 1st combo skill is CC2 ect.

    consecutive
    mp cost reduced by CC - 1
    damage reduced by 10% +10% for every previous 'consecutive' in the same combo

    smite
    damage dealt increases by CC%
    damage dealt of the next skill is reduced by 50%

    invincible
    chance of negating damage is CC%
    if it activated once, it cannot activate again in the same combo

    reflection
    does not reduce damage but deals damage based on damage taken.
    if no damage is taken, the cost of the next skill is reduced by half (EDIT: or perhaps just 1?)

    bloodsucker
    restores hp equal to (CC - 1)% of the damage dealt.
    applies spirit buff for 10 seconds.
    while the buff is active, all instances of bloodsucker change into spirit.

    spirit
    consumes (10 - CC)% maxHP to increase damage dealt by (10 + CC)%

    How does bloodsucker work with a combo after using a previous combo with bloodsucker?

    Saber Aura maybe a little more appealing.

    as long as the buff is active, bloodsucker will become spirit

    Idk where the rumor came from
    but from my testing
    Reflection only reduce mp cost of next skill by 1

    Yep tested. Reflection only reduced MP cost by 1. Big Fail.

    However, I got this sweet combo :
    Smash - Combination (reflec) - Breathworks (cons) for a 100 Mp fast combo that reduces cost of next skill used.

    I'm confused with this tag.

    reflection
    does not reduce damage but deals damage based on damage taken.
    if no damage is taken, the cost of the next skill is reduced by half

    Reflection: Returns a normal attack for 1 time only while the skill is active. If you don't take any damage, the MP cost of the following skill will be reduced

    So from what I can understand, it's saying that while the skill with the tag "reflection" is in activation, or in motion, if you were to take damage during this interval, then you instantly "parry" back with damage to the mob? However, if you weren't able to "parry", the next skill in the combo chain will have it's MP reduced by half?

    I tried a quick test. Ad Lib to Slide (reflection) to Storm. It should be 400mp if reflection triggers as I interpret... but it doesn't?

    How can we combine CF with this?
    Goliath won't work because of its short fuse, but can we potentially tag Crossfire twice, once with 20% Bloodsucker and then with maximum Smite?

    Good for 0 mana skills like Combination, Throw Dagger, Lightning, I suppose.

    Knuckles playstyle changed by a lot this time. You can now build up GodHand Charges separately, then spam Combination without care. (If high flee boss then use Slide - Combination (Mind))

    Then Use Goliath at the end of a long Combo (example, Adlib - Sneak attack (save) - Combination (swift) - Backstep (invincible) - Throwing knife (swift) - Breathworks (cons) - Goliath (Smite))

    And then use Kairiki - Goliath (Swift/Bloodsucker/Mind's eye) to deal massive damage.

    Now if only GodHand Multiplier was actually good, and Goliath wasn't bugged, then we would be getting somewhere.

    @ 800 MP I tested
    Assault ATK ~> Flashstab (Reflect) ~> Dragon Tooth
    got 300 MP left. As far as I know it only works on the "next" skill within the combo. Unlike impact that carries over the next skills globally.

    I might recheck it later.

    i love bloodsucker on finale, my longer combo with finale in has smite and invincible with 70% chance, didnt have to add any skills to it so with gsw its still fast. forget the invincible only works for the skill its on

    You're correct, it's local to Combo.
    I want to test if Impact (Reflection) reduces Goliath to 200 MP
