How much damage could Magic : Burst deal without element or dte equipment (assume 2s+S staff and armor, 1s add, and 1s rosetta stone, critical oriented)? I tried to look into it but I couldn't find any.

There's very little references on Burst available sadly.

One thing for sure, neutral burst isn't that good.

For reference anyways, I borrowed a neutral 2s+S staff from my friend since I already sold my DTE Light burst staff that time...

At Stellar Ooze, I was doing around 500k+ per burst with this equipment:

    IM10 I20 MPierce 3% +S Armasite Shampy
    SubMD
    DTE 20 M10 CR20 +Super Death Mushroom
    Mage Cape +URM
    Rosetta Stone + Gravicep

My build is originally a Burst Mage with Ele DTE and some Crit. Although I am not a Crit Oriented build, I got CR for Proration and Crit Damage is just a might as well thing.

Back then when I had my DTE Staff, with stats Dark Ele DTE20 M10 CR20 CSPD20 1s+B Finstern
I was doing 700k+ Per Burst to Stellar Ooze. That's a 1s+B doing more damage than a Neutral 2s+S

Let me tell you this, Burst can Crit way easier than Finale but IT NEEDS ELEMENT.
Neutral Burst will crit just like a Finale.

I can tell you about Magic Crit if ya wanna know about it

Burst Mage requires immense investment to even be viable. I did it and it wasn't worth it for me

    I see, thanks.

I want to know whether its damage could fare well against physical dps. I have a build plan which made the burst have 100% crit chance on non neutral enemies. Wondering whether it's going to do any good.

Anything is possible if you throw enough Money into it ;)

    Hahahahaha

    ...
Although, I wouldn't say Burst Mage is something you would build to compete against Physical DPS
It's Expensive, Glassy, Takes a long time to Set Up buffs, Also takes time to set up a Crit Burst, etc.
and in the first Place, your damage is on an entirely different case. You deal Magic. With every attack you do, you're helping the physicals' proration
and without them to balance out the proration for you, you'd be breaking your own. Example is EleSlash before Burst, they're both Magic.

If you want Fast Kill, Burst Mage isn't for you. It just takes too long to set up to a point you'd rather just Fire a Finale. Physicals nowadays can fast kill bosses in under 1 minute. Burst takes a minute to buff up.

It definitely shines in: Crit Resist, High Flee, High Evasion, Longer Battles, AOE spamming bosses (mobility and range helps a lot)

    Using NS+S (IMID) staff, 1s mage arm, 1s mage cape n 2s m.ring.
Setting up with buff skills(10 sec at most), and without (intentional) investment in crit, at yeti-boi, l can deal between 400k+/- dmg (depending on proration, it can go up)
I am fine with that much since l main Finale, n in cases l cant use finale, l resort to Burst.
If you add dte, crit and slots; ofc the damage will go beyond and be much more.
When l want to enjoy battle, l play mage, when l want speedy battle, l use physical classes :3

depends how many buff skills you use

1 minute buff up time is an overstatement so sorry about that

but it legit does take a bunch of time
to a point you just would rather not cast all buffs just to immediately start firing.

Imma take the opportunity to show the gameplay vids I made back then ig

Here's a 1 Minute Run of Finstern. I used to have my 1s+B staff here. 1 Minute is average run. OP ppl can do much faster. In that span of time, you wouldn't have any time to attack

Meanwhile here is a Run at Kuzto. I was also using a 1s+B staff in here. Moderate MDef Boss, deffo hurts but you can see the gameplay

Meanwhile here is an Early Metanena NM gameplay
You can see me using Crit Burst Here, you see it kinda needs a set up for Eleslash. It needs Minds Eye in a combo for sure hit. I save the combo so i can use just 1 MP for the set up. It's super easy to run out of MP in Burst
