game stops responding on start-up.

i'm interested in giving toram online a go since a bunch of my discord friends have also recently gotten into it, but the game immediately stops responding the moment i open it up. is anyone else experiencing this issue, and how can i fix it? the methods i've tried are: trying multiple times to see if it wasn't just bad luck, verifying file integrity (i'm using the steam version. same issue occurs on the launcher btw), uninstalling then reinstalling and trying at a different time. (probably more but i just forgot idk my memory isn't too great) i can provide some of my device information if necessary.

 

wait for it for like 10 mins. Same case when I tried to install it in a laptop. Subsequent launches will be fine after the 1st one.
