Stress of being tank

    Please upgrade guard skill and knight skill. Please put 25% base stat and absolute attribute on physical, magical, fractional, and ailment resistances for heavy remodeled guard skill and make fareth and knight stance a passive skill rather than a buff, especially fareth that requires standing still and it is not applicable in almost every bosses which make skill points wasted on that skill, then I suggest changing Knight's remedy into recover hp from a portion of damage received when hp drops to 50%.

    and since the title brings it up, what exactly is the stress of being tank?

    The stress is on aggro, prorate, and tanking the damage. Dps users are getting more demanding and since we cannot stop them from getting more greedy and more selfish then it is better to cope with it. Tanks only have to worry about fractionals before asobimo changed from rate to recharge, and now tanks have to worry about all damages, and if players don't lv up to 240 they cannot get access to gladiate and asura and have to worry about mp regen and hp regen, what's worse is it is even funny that resistances are being ignored and bosses are getting more unpredictable as stages get deeper. This sets a heavy barrier for new players and I have observed for many years.

    it's the [Assister]'s (formerly Breaker) job to manage proration. the [Tank] just has to direct the enemies attention to themselves to spare the party from the big hits. the game is designed with the intention of balanced party set-ups. stat and skill points are too limited to get all-in-one and there are diminishing returns for overinvesting in one stat. 3 physical attackers will get in the way of each other and only 1 can score the title. it may work in certain scenarios but generally the game is not designed to played that way.

    if they blame you for not fullfilling three separate roles you may as well blame them for not dealing enough damage in time. after all there's 3 of them and only 1 of you. how pathetic must they be to not be able to achieve a third of their part while you do more than one?

    Btw, nowadays people don't prorate anymore. Second you can get mp by using guard mechanic. Regarding aggro, you can rely on food buff. I dont know about others but i do use eb when using tank character. I m agree about the resistance and unpredictable especially when the boss retaliated when interrupted etc.

    As a tank you need to :
    1. Dont die
    2. Keep aggro to yourself
    3. Interupt the boss when needed to save dps
    Im using mage as my base tank (i dub it Cleric job). I dont have problem when tanking Pedrio, Reliza, Ferzen or Gemma. I suggest u dont use long combo (only use it if ur are motion tank like barehand) since dps motion speed are faster=faster to generate aggro.

    My BS vit tank use combo like Knight stance>Fareth(save)>Bersek(swift) to generate aggro & aspd (combo 1 mp). I just think fareth as skill to generate aggro. Its actual function are just secondary benefit.
