Sooo... I don't really understand the way Asobimo designed their profanity filter..... it seems a bit screwy to me tbh.... I literally was asking a very respectable question to buddy of mine in game about if he also was having the targeting lock bug as well and I couldn't send the mail to him.... I attached the screen clipping of the msg I tried to send him btw. I didn't even use any swear words (either as an accidental letter combo or directly) and it still told me I had prohibited words.... seems like the devs need to make some major adjustments to the filter since it seems to not know the difference between a respectful question about the gameplay and someone trying to scam players.... there are major differences in word choices in those 2 types of msgs.... it would make more sense to filter for URLs and Email addresses and that kinda info than to block certain arbitrary word combos that don't always end up getting used for negative use cases...... I'd be glad to actually spend a whole week writing a custom profanity filter script in C++, C# and in Python and send them all 3 to replace their screwy filter script..... this is just getting annoying......

 

This is what I have found out. With mailbox it's best to not use reply but to start a new message because when pressing reply the censoring of words is worse. Also they're censoring game related terms not profanity. You can't have g and m next to each other. For example: "Helping my...", is not acceptable because it's short for guild master. Even with space in between, it's not acceptable. So I end up putting,"Helpin my...". There many other game related words not allowed too. I sent a feedback message about this to toram online creators. Saying it didn't make any sense why you would prohibit game words and allow profanity words. I also asked why wouldn't you want people talking about the game? It's just ridiculous! No response from them. I didn't really think they would respond. So this is my experience with it.

 

Spent ages trying to send a mail to someone saying I sent them material to create a water staff, after looking up online and shorting many words, using different words etc I found the prohibited word was staff so I changed it to rod and it sent. But the game calls it a water staff,... Its a game related word, I changed materials to ingredients cause it had the word mate, I changed equipment cause it could be a representation of phallus. Just bizarre you can't use in game related words.

 

I wrote down to a friend saying

Ohh sure I'll find appearance of armor. Oh you want staff too or magic device?

Then suddenly, Found Prohibited word]s like, why not be more specific? Not angry, I'm just saying because there is no bad words or any negative in my sentences. Please- tell me. What words are there is prohibited? Because I kept rewriting what I said changing different words. STILL PTOHIBITED. I'm sorry it's just frustrating.. please, some one tell me what I did wrong cause this makes no sense..

 

it's likely possible that "staff" was banned for it's phallic symbolism.

 

Im new into the game and found this thread very informative, me and my guildmates are using discord for communicating rn, and if i need to type long, i will say to the receiver that we need go somewhere else, bruh its like playing hide n seek game haha

 

when I was streaming, I triggered censored words that made it awkward. It was something I would never ever guess and completely forgot what I typed but it happened.
