    † Cypherian's Legacy Build †
    ║ ╚═════════════════╝ ║
    ╚═════════════════════╝
    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Introduction:
This is the conceptual build of how one of the successful DWs in the game today (me ehehehe), came into fruition.
Everything I will include here were parts of the building of what is seen now in my build.
Alot have taken inspiration and deviation from this build since it was conceived.
Ever since I started the AMPR Build a couple of years ago, alot have doubted yet have turned to see the benefits and light of my build.
After DW release, many have tried yet have failed to find light of the DW, but given the circumstances(after spending $200 on resets),
I never gave up and along the way, found a build that suited my playstyle since before DW release, which was a sustain build that could DPS and Solo.
And with this build, I managed to popularize the use of AMPR.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Concept:
This build was built under the pillars of Sustain and Speed and Adaptability
    1. Sustain being the high hp and mp pool and high hp and mp regen.
    2. Speed being the fast-paced actions and immediate responses based on the flow the battle.
    3. Adaptability being the ability to change combo sets and responses depending on what you are facing.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Things To Consider:
    Damage
-Damage wise, DW isn't the best in DPS, unless you're into long combos that deal high damage, which is for me against what a DW should be.
-It's built more in sustain damage than burst damage.
-High auto attack damage potential, personally hit 14k auto attacks.
    Stats
-Stats make or break a DW. The way you allocate stats can make you tilt from one point of the scale to the other. Balance is the key to all things.

    Combos
-The way you make a combo should be based around how you tackle an objective. Because bosses, minibosses and events can't be controlled, you know what is? Your combos. Not one combo can be used to its full potential on every boss.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Stat Allocations:
    Full Dex (Shittiest Build)
-Only Raw Damage comes to mind, most of the newbs think of only building a single stat build on a DW given the notion that other weapons like 2h, Knux, BG, Staff(Double stat but depends on build) scale off only on one stat, and that other weapons like 1h, Bow, Mdev scale off two stats but the other can be laid off til the end.
-Only good in early game, useless in mid to late game unless you go tanky, invest in AGI or STR

    Double Stat Builds
    Dex Agi
-Scales to Mid and Late Game, For the Utility/Tanky builds because you'd have to get both CDMG and Crit Rate for equipments, don't really have to rely on damage boosting xtals and adds because you'll mostly prioritize for HP and Evasion. Going a damage-y route while surviving because you have high dodge, good evasion, high enough hp to not get one shot.
    Dex Str
-Scales to and for Mid Game, Damage Built, you can ignore the flat cdmg you can get from equipment stats, and get a balance of cdmg and crit rate so you can crit more, and deal damage more. Add in a bit of HP and Reflex/ Flash Blast and you'll be good to go since Flash Blast damage scales like a normal skill, having a form of functional survivability.

    Three Stat Build
    Dex Agi Str
-Personally my preferred build, and as a I always say, Get DEX to an amount until you're satisfied with your ATK stat, Prioritize either AGI then STR or STR then AGI to 100 or 150, depending on how much you want. My Rule is, Focus on Dex then Balance out AGI and STR. Of course this scales til Late Game. If permitted, we get up to two stats maxed and half of a stat.
    - +254 Points per stat, and a half of that, you get around 635 stat points, I'd probably invest getting 200 points in each, then the rest to either Vit or Crt.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Equipment:
Pretty standard equipment build to be honest, since you there's not much variation you can get.
Either you're running a broken stat build, or a single stat build.

    For Main Weapon
    Always get ATK%.

    Variations you can get are:
    1. ATK%, CD%, Flat CD.
    2. ATK%, CD, CR, CR%
    3. Atk%, CD%, Flat CD, CR. (Varies between ATK 4%/CDMG 7% or ATK 7%/CDMG 4%)

The first two are available right away in this stage of the game.
The last one is a gamble but will be available by the time we can get 50+ Pot on a 1h, which is worth getting.

    Sub Weapon
Stats that work on sub are WEAP ATK, Stability, Element.
Refine affects Weapon ATK Value so get it to as high as you can.
Based on what I read, a +S can get you x2.25 of the Weap Atk it has.

    For Custom 1h stats.
Getting ATK%, Crit, CDMG is useless on sub because it will not work.
I personally use a 105~106 +B Ice Brand with Elem and Trash stats, by trash stats I mean random negas, even getting negative STR%, DEX% or nega Max HP/MP won't work.

But if you want to use it for Main weap.
    Get it stats like
Element, %DMG to Opposite Element, Atk%/CDMG/CDMG%/Crit or any other variation you want.
For a standard sub weapon, without elem.
Get. TOMAHAWK. 120 Base Weap ATK. Outweighs the 40% Stability it has.

How Stability works on your damage:
For Normal Attacks, Each hand deals a different amount of damage based on your stat allocations, and the corresponding Stability.
I've noticed this because I use a Tomahawk on sub, and the damage of the left hand fluctuates more than the Main weap which has 80% Stability.

For Skills, Based on my observation, the stability it takes into account is an average between the Main and Sub Weapon.
Tested it out on Warmonger multiple times all on full proration.
The Maximum Damage I could deal with a Fire Elemental Ice Brand with 80% Stability and a Tomahawk is both 26,000.
The Lowest Damage I could deal with Ice Brand is around 20,000.
While the Lowest Damage I could deal with Tomahawk is around 15,500 to 16,000.

So with 26,000 as a Base Max Value.
We can calculate the Stability by Dividing the lowest possible damage by the Base Max Value
    So Tomahawk dealt 15,000 lowest:
    15,500 / 26,000 is roughly 0.6 or 60%.
and with Ice Brand dealing 19,000 constantly:
    20,000 / 26,000 is 0.8 or 80%.

I haven't tested yet if Stability% as a custom stat on sub affects the damage because the highest you can get is 3% and is barely noticeable.

    For Armor.
Always go Light Armor Remod. For Evasion.
    Stats you can get are:
    1. Crit Crit% CDMG CDMG%
    2. ATK% Crit CDMG
    3. Stat% Crit Crit% CDMG
    4. ATK% Stat% Crit.

I advise getting the 1st option.
You get more ATK from the stats you put and the weapon you get anyway.
So it's better to prioritize on Crits for your armor since ATK% eats double the pot it needs on weap, which is a waste of stats you can get.

    Add Gears:
Since this is a sustain build, more closely to building AMPR.

    I suggest you get:
    • Magic Scarf: 100 MP, +3 AMPR, for the MP and AMPR.
    • Ear Cuffs: 4 AMPR and Resistances, opt for this if you think you have high enough MP.
    • Two Headed Snake Crown: 4 AMPR and 200 MP, a better version of Magic Scarf.

Since getting double AMPR from MP and Bonus AMPR.
It's better to get a high MP Pool and Bonus AMPR.

    Special Gear:
    • Warrior Bangle: 100/200 HP and 3 AMPR. Same concept to getting Ear Cuffs, if you think you have high enough MP, get this.
    • MP Talismans (Dex Talisman, the 500MP Choco Ooze Ring, 350MP Choco Ooze Ring). More MP, More AMPR. Opt for this if you don't want to get MP Xtals and want to get Damage Xtals.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Xtal Choices:
    Weapon:
    • For Damage-y builds get BKOD, Ganglef
    • For more MP, get Pillar Golem
    • For AMPR and HP, get Zega.

    Armor:
    • Standard would be Boss Roga for more HP
    • Jade Raptor of MP and AMPR.
    • Cerberus if you want more damage.

    Add Gears:
    • Pumpking for AMPR.
    • Silver Roar, for AMPR.
    • Twilight Dragon for more Damage.
    • Warmonger for more Crits.
    • GD Yelb for more ASPD and Damage.

    Rings:
Honestly you'd just get AMPR for Rings.
So either Eerie, Shining Gentleman, Viscum, or Silver Roar.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Skill Allocations:
This build relies only on Dual Sword and Sword Skills.

    Sword Skills:
    Hard Hit: 5~10
    Astute: 10
    Trigger: 10

    Sword Mastery: 5~10
    • Hard Hit can be either at level 5 or 10, more damage and more flinch at level 10, good damage and a good combo starter at level 5.
    • Astute is good damage source and crit booster, so you need to get it at 10.
    • Trigger, I recommend you get this at level 10, for Damage and AMPR.
    • Sword Mastery, same concept as getting Dex, get this to a level where you think your ATK stat will be enough for you.

    Dual Sword Skills:
    All Passives at Level 10
Dual Sword Mastery, Dual Sword Control, Godspeed

    Twin Slash: 5~10
    Spinning Slash: 5~10
    Phantom Slash: 10
    Cross Parry: 5~10
    Charging Slash 5~10
    Shadow Step: 10
    Reflex(Optional), Flash Blast(Optional)
    • Twin Slash is your early to mid game damage skills, so you'd get it at 10, but it falls off to the transition of the late game, and you'd maybe restat it to 5.
    • Spinning Slash is a good damage source from mid game to end game. It really doesn't do much early on so you probably won't get it at or leave it at level 5, but around mid game, it deals tons of damage, consider getting it to 10. The main damage source isn't from the initial hit, but from the DPS of the tornado.
    • Phantom Slash adds more damage per level, with a good amount of proration and being well timed, it can do tons of damage and save your a** a couple of times.
    • Cross Parry, the only thing that changes per level is the amount you get from the Buff if you successfully parry any sort of physical damage. Around a 10% increase in ATK and ASPD. at level 10.
    • Charging Slash is a good source of damage if you're planning to build unsheathe. A good disengage skill too.
    • Shadow Step, Has 12m range at Level 10. Lessened MP Cost at Lvl 4 and Lvl 7. Best Chase Tool, AMPR Buff, Crit Buff for the Next Skill similar to Trigger's Motion Buff.

    Other Skills:
    Survival:
    HP Regen 5
    HP Boost 10
Fighter's High is optional but at level 10, with around 4,000 HP. You regen 4HP Per Second, Which is a good amount considering you'd kite alot and weave in and out in between attacks,
    MP Regen 5
    MP Boost 10
Sober Analysis scales off your Natural MP Regen, so if you wanna get this, don't get Nega MP Regen from custom stats.

    Magic Skills:
MP Charge, Level depends on your preference, since in this build, I mostly build high cost Combos and regen them up with my high AMPR, but after fights and nothing to hit, you don't a chance to regen any MP, so getting this at level 1 would be good.

    Battle Skills:
ATK Up, 5~10, same concept with getting Sword Mastery
Whack, 10%-ish chance to increase the damage you deal, I don't know the amount but it's also a pre-req for Crit Up
Crit Up, 10, getting this at 10 is like getting 5% CDMG and 5% Crit Rate, so it's a must.

    Guard Skills:
Light Armor Mastery, 5~10, at level 10, doubles the evasion you get from having Light armor Mastery, so 20 Evasion just by having that is worth the points.

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

This is the build I use to build upon my legacy.
Probably the last build I will post of it... or maybe until Level 4 Dual Wield Skills are released or at End Game.
    Who knows...
It's time for a new generation to rise.

How much MP we talking here. Like how long to get 100 mp and how much does mp regen affect it.

Just wondering, but with the new update of the Dual swords sub weapon atk revamped or something; did you notice any difference whether or not stats on a weapon make a difference now?

I hear sonic blade stack dmg each use. I was wondering if u tested on using your gemini build.

I think your gemini build is like
    Spinning, ss save, trigger swift?

    Have u tried
Soinning , ss save, sonic blade smite, trigger con?

Assuming ss is max at lvl 7 , 2mp

    Also one more thing
Trigger slash vs sonic blade in term of dmg, which is better for dw atm? Not including stack

Super sonic blade strong when cons.
So why not Sonic (cons) + trigger (smite)

Cause u want to keep ampr . If i put smite on last combo it will cost double. Its just for speed attack for ampr. Why delay another 4 sec to be tumbled?

You don't have to. If full dex suits your playstyle there's no reason to remake. Im full dex 115 dw and I do just fine. Phantom slash works great on a full dex build. :)

I think that Cyph is criticizing builds that focus on maxing DEX then taking stuff like VIT or CRT... Which isn't all that bad if you go the 1H route with skills, but extremely bad on DW skills route and will falter off late game.
However, maxing DEX before focusing on STR and/or AGI isn't a bad idea if you use primarily Blade Skills for damage: you get higher main damage (which is the only stat that matters for Blade Skills), high hit rate and high stability (with max DEX alone, you get a 99% Stab with most 1Hs, and a few points in STR will max it). But this is a DW skill oriented build so it's best to take at least a mix of DEX and AGI, at best a balance of the three stats.

That's a very good point, which I agree with.
Just wanted people to know that max dex doesn't always mean you have to restat. You can always compensate the full dex with skills/equips. Stats aren't the only aspect to look at to be well-balanced.

exactly, because this is a Dual Sword Main build. That focuses on using mainly DS Skills and boosting them, with the foundation of using the first 30 points on 1h skills the way you would if you transition to DW once you hit lvl 30 and have access to the skill tree
