2 Blacksmith?

Hi I'm new to this (forum and the game as of now I only played 55 hours game time) . So now that I got my mage to lv 71 I decided to make a smith so I can make a good magic device for my mage I was wondering would making 2 smith characters work since I know there are 2 types of smiths or would this be useless? Oh and can someone give me a good build for my mage I'm trying to do the most possible damage while being able to solo boss plus equipment I should look out for ?

 

@Precaria 's angelus mage is a very good dps mage. As for smiths you can get either make an equipment crafter or a refiner/synthesist. When making a synth make go full tech and when making a crafting smith go:

- full str if you want to make 2h swords

- full dex if you want to make 1h swords,bg and bows

- full int if you want to make staves and magic devices

- full agi if you want to make knuckles

- full vit if you want to make armor

 

So is it pointless to make two smiths?

 

I think your confusing the " two smiths " for production skills. ( Do you mean like alchemist and blacksmith? Or stat blacksmiths and refine/state blacksmiths? )
Anyway, there are 5 types of Blacksmith. The comments says the catogories. It isn't pointless in making more than 2 blacksmiths. It's helpful, especially when you want to make spina and make your own equipment to cut down on spina.

Oh. Well, stat blacksmiths are definitely useful, but beware how many character slots you have before hand if you plan on making some. Refine and stat blacksmiths can be a hybrid with alchs.

 

Oh and a other question is @Precaria 's angelus mage still good up to date since it says lv 105 cap but from what I see the lv goes over 150 since that's the lv need to get lv 4 mage spells sorry for ask a lot of questions but I only have 1 book to reset my skill and I want to make sure I know what I'm doing when I use it
