2h survival methods

So after finding out about katanas dash ability and how mage, hb, and bow can sit in the back and chillax I started to wonder... does 2h have anything similar besides some expensive mp moves?

 

Everyone can get Shukuchi. But, if you're talking about moves that keep you in the fight exclusive to the Sword Tree? Sonic Blade is the only "gap closer" Sword has and Meteor Breaker has some I-frames attached to it.

 

Someone in another thread informed me that what I was refering to was the katana only multi directional dash they have is access to after they perform certain attacks. I dont know if i should call this an evasive manuever since that jargon is taken by some other ability i havent seen and no one discusses defensive strategies outside of the word 'tank' on here.

The problem is that i see zombie skill spam and barely any counters or manuevers from other pugs so it leaves me feeling like theres more to learn about surviving in toram.

 

Like screamingfox said, Meteor Breaker has iFrames... that's one of the very few ways 2H can stay in battle, aside from having a thick skin and properly avoiding telegraphs, and timing combo activations so you don't get caught in the middle of one, which all stems from knowing boss patterns, which is step one in discovering survival methods... which I'm guessing you know already...

 

sonic blade moves you in front of the target, but super sonic blade moves you behind the target
if you end every combo with sonic blade, you'll always have a 5s time frame to avoid frontal AoE's with super sonic blade.

this works best for high speed agi builds with evasion.
the other option is to raise hp with vit and stack up on guard stats.

 

Yeah i was thinking about collecting guard at this point and focus on keeping up sonics buff buuuuuut i cant try it out atm lol. Someone posted a spammable sonic combo I cant wait to try
