    Hi. When I alch for revs 3-4 it says my blksmith proficiency can not be raised. I'm not loving bs but alch. A bug? If it's Rev 2 or lower it says I cannot gain XP from it. I just want to raise my alch and get credit for it. Thx

    because it's too easy to gain prof. once u get to a certain prof, you'll need to make more harder items to gain more prof. like mcw suggested or u can do hp mith from 86 on if vaccine mats are hard to get :)

    I'm lvl 52 alch but it says I can't gain blksmith lvls. Can't u gain alch XP from around lvl 80 and lower with Rev 4s?

    U can make ur prof to lvl 50 without the skill up in alch skills

    by default, maximum profiency is 50.
    to raise it higher you need to learn the skills that raise the prof limit ;)

    also, craftitems have item levels.
    if your profiency is 10+ levels higher than the item level you will not gain profiency from that item :p
