Recently i tried playing around with combos(i play 2h btw xd) and i found out that my single astute(200mp) deals way more damage than my 200mp combo that consists of 5 skills :
    Hardhit>Spinal(savers)>Astute(savers)>SonicSlash(savers)>TriggerSlash(swift)

    What did i do wrong?

Also, i noticed some people told me to put trigger slash in behind the last skill so the MP cost will be cut off while still retaining his MP regen buff? But when i do so, his buff is gone after the last skill Dx. What about this? Thanks in advance.

EDIT : Oh and the astute hit is non-crit btw

On my suggestion I would not use a large combo
I use a to step combo
I would suggest choosing one low mp use skill as a starter and then a larger using skill as a second
like hard hit then the wind blade thingy
As a brawler I use a hard hit skill first to stun followed by a stun hit I use the no mana use effect wish lowers hit but stun still can happen

Playing as a mage main, I rarely use combo system. I did hear a friend mentioning how she encountered the same situation. If I recall correctly, had something to do with certain skills canceling out the others buff. Try experimenting with different combo arrangements. Please share your findings with us.

As a fellow mage, combos help me a bit. But the most i have in one combo is 3 skills. My first combo works out really well and just like i wanted it to. It has magic wall, going into magic blast with smite for more damage. Then a charge with swift to recover some mp i lost. It is really strong and i find that it does a lot of damage depending on element.

My advice, lower the amount of moves in the combo, i notice that my magic blast is slightly weaker when in combo some times than when i do it without combo. Check the abilities that u put in your combo. Some reduce the damage of certain skills in the combo. Like the smite ability, it increase the skill damage it attached to, but it decreases all skill damage after it that is in combo. Long story short, check your abilities, lower the amount of skills in the combo. Good luck.

Heya I'm a bit late to the train, Just wanted to say I totally agree with June, Wyrix and Lisa but just wanted to add that the combo skill your using (saver) is a big no no, It greatly reduces the damage of the skill its attached to and then slightly reduces the next skill in the combo chain so technically your astute is getting the left over effect of your first save (reduced damage), then getting reduced ten fold again by the save attached to it, I'm guessing you may have miss understood the combo skill description but yeah, imo save should only be used in a combo chain attached to skills you don't want to do damage with, like Provoke (knight skill) Ragesword (another provoke skill) for tanking or even skills that you just want to use for the effect on like flinch or support skills since save makes the skill cost no mana its great for things like that :)

Ah yes, i forgot that saver reduced damage(because i never really used it). Yea, the double saver is hurting you. Take that of and pick something different. Or pick nothing at all for that part of your combo.
