Alchemist + tech bs

hi guys, I've read threads about tech bs/ pure bs/ tech, but i need some clarification, so cmiiw:

1. Alchemist can make potions/ore/etc and their success rate is determined by TECH.
2. At the same time we can also make refiner/upgrader because tech bs can use the same tech stat as alchemist.
3. Upgrade skill adds - and + stats into empty equipments (not sure if i can add stats into failed equipments?)
4. Upgrade skill success rate depends on tech stat.
5. Refine skill adds +'s onto equipments, making it stronger.
6. Refine skill success rate also depends on tech stat.

EDIT:
7. Difficulty level can be increased by prof level, dex/tech stats, and allow you to make harder items.
8. Prof level increases chance of success and difficulty level, and can be increased by making more attempts to create items (not related to upgrade/refine)
9. Potential can only increase/decrease when actually making equipment, so tech bs don't apply here.

To put this all in a nut shell. You have to decide which bs u would like.
Reading from your post you seem to like the tech bs.

• Your tech bs can be on the same char as your alchemist char.
• Make it full tech
• If you would like to know how the skill points are distribited just ask.

The prof. Is rased with tech. But i need to remind you only tech bs is full tech. Generally any other bs is no tech. there are some cases where its not such a big deal but pls ask if you would like to know more.
You can add stats to failed equipment but i dont see the point seeing as it is failed ans usually is not worth much. Ans is good for app only.
Your difficulty lvl will never actually be a problem do to you being a tech bs. On other bs characters that is not true. It will be harder.

Yes but many ppl who actually want one can just save up their orbs and make a armor bs. Sense alchemist is pure tech this hybrid really is not a hybrid. Its just a 2 in 1 cause you have extra skill points left over.

 

It's different classes though, but I'll take it.

 

There are so many hybrids now adays we have to decide for ourselvs which are good and which are bad. It can be very trying at times. But i do like this one. makes my life a loot easier xD

 

True. I have this type of build for one of my character builds. It's also easier since you don't have to hunt for materials because the bs is full tech, unless you have a different bs with a stat.

 

i'm assuming you're referring to "easier for statting since you don't need to make the equips?"

 

Yep. You would buy the armor or weapon and you can possibly sell them for a higher price or you can keep it

 

i think choosing tech bs as an alternative for my alchemist is a right choice. considering i don't have a lot of time to play. i will just buy the equips from other players and stat them.

 

Yep I get you. Your plan is as similar as mine. A good use for 1 character slot

For alchemist, you need to get all the skills from alchemist skill tree, for tech bs side, just get 5 refine, 5 create and 10 upgrade. the rest of skill points can go to weapon skill tree.

 

So with pure tech you can upgrade equipment and add stats, and does it only require upgrade skill at level 1? Or does it have to be higher for certain things? Im trying to help my friend make his and he says that he can't add anything to the sword I made because he says that he has to have (str, dex or another stat) and I originally thought that with a pure tech bs you would still be able to add whatever you wanted.. He has upgrade equipment at lvl 3.

Is there anything that could be wrong with this picture? Help will be greatly appreciated.

 

just a few clarifications,

1. You dont need bs proficiency to refine or stat equipment?
2. Whats better for a BS when refining or statting, tech or luck?

1) you dont, but I heard it might effect success rate.. It hasn't been confirmed though.
2)pretty sure tech I know for sure tech effects it directly and as far as I know luck doesn't.
