[Android] Game Engine Update Regarding IPv6

Well I hope it gets fixed soon, I've been crashing on boss fights since the update.

 

I'm confused. They already switched to ipv6? That could explain the sudden lags.

IPv6 won't cause lags :|

 

Depends on what the word "lag" means lol for erased and me it can mean 2 things Fps lag and Ping Lag

 

toram Ipv6 update is due to itunes registered app are required to accomodate ipv6 network since june 2016 otherwise it wont passed the itunes permit to be there (yeah all these crashes is bec of apple )
however....
idk whether toram app that still has many bugs bec of that or the problem is bec of not compatible network between our device and app's network requirement .
afaik not all country' telco provider implement ipv6 technology. unfortunately our country telco provider has not yet support ipv6 as well.
so i still put 1☆ at playstore for toram for crashes...until they fixed these crashes...

Yeah. Just ask a number of ios users who can't even log in, nevermind lag.

 

I'm running servers with IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. It doesn't increase latency.
You guys are most likely connecting to Toram using IPv4 internet. I rarely see ISPs that provides IPv6.
Supporting IPv6 won't break anything. Unless they broke something else in the game.

Latency will only increase if they changed routes (tracert their server) or ISPs.

IPv6 is just the replacement of the depleted IPv4.

 

How does apple become the reason of the crashes? Apple required that to future proof software. IPv4 will die in a few years. Almost all registries ran out of IPv4 addresses. That's why a lot of companies are rapidly deploying IPv6 networks.
Toram has a lot of bugs and crashes due to the developers. Almost all latest phones support IPv6 btw.
Also Toram didn't remove support for IPv4 so nothing is incompatible.

 

What troubleshooting steps was performed by @NUT2Fast? Did he tried using different providers? Was it Wifi or Cellular data? What isolation measures was performed to rule out the problem? I do believe there are a lot of factors that needs to be considered. Personally working within the IT field, the IPV6 should not be a factor at all. The update is all about adding support for IPV6 hence, your current connectivity should not be a problem at all. Sorry, what I mean is that switch to IOS for smoother and better overall experience, this is just my 2 cents and is based on my personal experience.

 

Cool then, I see no issues with Android as long as your using most of the flagship phones out there for maximum performance and game enjoyment. Actually I noticed that Toram is lighter than VainGlory in all aspect, specially the internet data consumption.

 

I second this. iOS is smoother and more secure than android. lol. (Android's disk encryption got cracked lol) But I do like Android phones and I have one.

 

IPv6 does have some advantages over IPv4. I was more concerned about our ISP's. Believe me, i wouldn't be surprised that they don't support IPv6. And i misread the statement; i thought they were switching to IPv6 rather than simply adding support. But yes, IPv6 by itself shouldn't cause latency.

 

IOS certainly is more secure than Android, but i really wouldn't say smoother, or the difference isn't that great (i blame low-mid range androids and oms bloat. Lol). IOS does have its share of issues (i remember XcodeGhost), and android has been trying to fix its security flaws for a while now, but IOS (for the common user) is certainly "safer." ART was a big change for android (since we no longer need JIT compilation).

Security-wise there's xprivacy and other apps (gotta love xposed) we could use. Last IOS device i had was a 3gs (i still think it was the best iphone Apple has released) but i never went back after trying out android. I just don't like the walled garden thing with IOS.

 

I hope they fix the lag issue for android users... And also in sofya town it so lagg when u enter...

Sometimes when u log in server crash and says need maintenance info... That's all thanks..
