Hi guys! I'm looking for the list of skills (if there are any) which fall under the magic attack category; outside of the magic tree obviously. Holy fist, sonic wave, and earthbind specifically, and any others as well. I'm working on a Sword-fu Halberd build and want my spam combo to be self prorating. :D

I'll let you know the awesomeness of it when I get the kinks worked out. :p

All of these skills are classified as physical skills.
However, there is an anomaly/bug with Sword Tempest that makes it do damage like a physical skill, but inflict magic proration. However, that's going to be costly in SP given your build.

Thank you for the quick reply. So, is the only way to prorate by auto attacking between combos? I suppose javelin and magic impact will help self prorate. Is there a magic for proration?

I'm slowly learning how it works through trial and error, and appreciate any expert advice I can get :)

All skills in the magic skill tree prorate magically. I guess you could try and use Impact and Javelin, but again, costly in SP and very bad on bosses that react to tumble/flinch.

Yes they would help in prorating but except from impact , javelin has abit slow-ish animation. So it would be faster in just doing autos in between comboes.
There's also another option which is to use support/buff skills , while they might not exactly help the proration , they would not ruin it either, which makes them excellent as combo fillers in your combo ensuring the combo would be longer making more fillers inbetween the space of save tag and smite tag making it a stronger combo in general.

Those are the only skills that are commonly used. U can try using holy light, magic: wall if u need more magic skills even tho their cast time is not instant but pretty fast.

I found on wiki that holy fist is classified as a light element attack. So holy fist, javelin, impact, and holy light will prorate my physical attacks. Impact of course being removed for delicate bosses. Cast speed shouldn't be an issue being full dex ;)

Holyfist is a skill that partially uses ur matk to deal as physical dmg so it wont prorate for your physical skills.

Holy Fist having an element doesn't mean it prorates magically. It just means it has an element that makes it stronger against certain enemies (in that case, Dark ele enemies). In fact, the description explicitly says it is considered as a physical skill.

    :eek:My bad.

Do you know the amount of magic skills needed for full proration? I'm guessing even half proration is better than none at all. Do physical skills prorate with auto attacks? For some reason I can't view my combat log in game :(

Depends on the boss. For example, Scrader has a very, VERY low proration rate, while Moche will be fully prorated in 2 attacks.
And yes, auto attacks are considered neutral in proration, so they will prorate both for magic and physical skills (and vice versa).

It's not that it helps with proration in general; it helps with your proration since most skills in the Sword tree are physical.
However, mages are not going to be happy if you spam Tempest lol

But really? What makes you say it is actually a magic skill...

    Proration has 3 categories : normal attacks , physical , & magical
Tempest deals its damage as physical , but it prorates as magical category.

It is proved that it is magic proration.

It reduces dmg of magic skills if spammed.
