I've been wondering what's the advantage and disadvantage of them.
Since knife skills has just been fixed, can anyone give me some advice?
Meamwhile, is lvl 10 spike dart is guaranteed slow or lvl 1 is enough?

    1. If you only use DT, why bother lvling up Spike Dart to lv10? You're not gonna need slow/any status ailment except you use Strike Stab
    2. I don't even think you need to learn any Shot Skills or Dagger skills that gives status ailment to the enemy cause, you only use DT
    3. I prefer to use arrow since they gives better stat(like Chimera Arrow) and i only use arrow because of the bonus stat, not because i use any shot skills
    4. But if you have some spare skill points, might as well go the dagger route and learn Gatling Knife(this one is stronger than Phantom Slash, yeah)

They both have their own ups and downs, the choice is yours

    Arrow
    Pros:
    1) good save skill (5mp/7mp)
    2) 14m moeba shot (for controling activation of dt, unless some fvckers knockbacked the boss)
    3) para shot give stability (personally, i dont like giving extra phys prorate)
    4) Access to snipe
    Cons:
    1) most of the stat only affect bow user
    2) only few arrow has good stat (e.g.:chimera arrow)

    Dagger
    Pros:
    1) many dagger with usefull stat (no tumble, frac barrier, - aggro, mp, hp, etc)
    2) gat knife after update can deal high damage. With amazing throw, can surpass even dt in term of multiplier (and damage, assuming enemy's def is not that high, need amazing throw to proc)
    3) needed for using sstab
    Cons:
    1) no good save skill for dt
    2) short range (8m) compare to arrow

Note: these are for active skills, im not touching any passive. Only long range and quickdraw are usefull (and sneak, better use stargem...)

I like to use arrow becoz it have good skill for save (smoke dust) becoz of it I can remove impact when I'm fighting any mini boss , I don't want to hit monsters around me . u can make long combo with Dt n stab both but I wont suggest it high chances of death n every time u have to go near boss for strike stab.n abt Dagger n I tried gat knife n dt both need too much sp :( u need punish ray,gat knife, Amazing throw

You can use throwing knife to control DT
    It has 12M range

I suggest learning a ranged dps skill tho

Bosses are coming up with protective aoes around them

No but if its lvl 10 (star gem or skill) it costs 0mp
Great ranged attacking tool or filler
