Hi guys, this is my first thread.

I have questions regarding my plan to build full agi m.dev mage.
While waiting for dual wield, I wanna waste my time building fun build, making a fairy brawler, lol.

So, here are the questions :

    1. Does staff/m.dev mastery skill significantly increase my physical atk?
    2. Is my tap dmg based on physical atk or magic atk (like staff user)?
    3. Does ranged atk dmg% on equip or xtal increase my physical atk?
    4. Is my brawler skill dmg (smash, sonic wave, etc) based on my physical atk?
    5. Do I need to spend skill pts at knuckle mastery to increase my brawler skill dmg?

The reason why I wanna build this fairy brawler is that, the aspd growth is very high. At lvl 20, using :
    - Crystal Wing
    - FW Garb (Dropped one)
    - Fluffy Tail
    - Speed Talisman II
I can reach about 1300 aspd, which gives me advantage at mp rec / atk.

    Thank you!
    ^_^

There's a hitch on this thread that says you haven't made this character yet: You can't equip subweapons while using Magic Device main. :V

That is a true statement that you can't equip any subs with a magic device main. However, the brawler skills don't have a weapon requirment.

    On the OP
    1. MD is matk based which benefits from INT
    2. Tap damage is based off of what current patk/matk dependant on weapon
    3. I don't know this one
    4. Brawler skills are based on patk (Idk if equipped weapon has any effect)
    5. Yes, the skill states so

I think that adding DEX (benefits both mage and brawler) or INT might prove to be a good option for this build.

Please test your findings and report if this is a worthwhile build or not.

Just want to answer your question because my bs agi also have m device as it weapon. Well dagger cannot be equipped if you equip m device
    1. Yes. However its not worth it because its no significantly increase.
    2. Tap damage of m device is based on patk.(based on my exp). Well, staff tap dmg is based on matk tho. (Poor str based staff user)
    3. Yes. Range atk% is based on your range between you and your enemy. Not based on your wpn.
    4. Yes
    5. If you eq m device. Knuckle mastery wont add any damage.

    Notes :
( - ) equipping m device makes your breaker skill less effective than knuckle user
( + ) its faster than wall for farming low hp monster in wider area by set your action tap authumbmatic ;) . E.g : farm bird wing

Sounds like you've done more experimenting than I have.
@Ichsan you should probably listen to Rex over me on our conflicting advice. I'll edit mine to prevent further confusion.

    IMHO,
M.Device user should stick with INT. It's still give you 4M.atk + 2P.atk
Same rate p.atk as AGI given.
And for ASPD, you can easily cap it at 1150 aspd using equipment bonus, Feather Cape + GS.
The cons is: low flee/dogde rate.

However, with INT growth, u have potential to use magic skill as DPS skill.
Or have good use of Holyfist skill if you really want to stick with physical dmg thingy.

Well, at first i wanna make a dodgy support, but after buying all the support skill buff (support, priest, and shield skills), I realized that I have no capability nor patience to build such support.

And I came up with this idea, since flinched casts are so infuriating. lol.

I thought it would be a good idea to spam mana-wise skill without getting flinched or interrupted on the process.

AGI is not recommended stat for now. Because the pros is only Flee/Dodge rate.
Only knuckle user that should max AGI, because its only source of P.attack growth for them.

If your real problem is flinch when casting a magic.
You either have 2 good option:
    1. Increase your Guard rate by equip Shield, Heavy remodeled Armor, Increase Heavy armor mastery passive skill.
    2. Increase your CSPD by equipment bonus, Scolar glass/ Nun hut, Seltirio Xtall etc. As long as you can cast magic before enemy attack you save.

If you're intent of keeping up w/ using agi as main stat and attack w/ martial skills while using m.device, I suggest you stick in support skills. That is the only way I see this being useful at all. Use fast auto-attacks to refill MP bars, then use Party Buffs like Priest Trees' Gloria and Shield's Aegis. (and the other shield skill I forgot)
