Pure dex IMO sucks so I wouldn't recommend doing that at all lol I suggest u look up @Cypherian's build guides if you want, they're good and I recommend them^ other than that as I said it's not worth it going full dex as it restricts your adaptability at later lvls, I'd suggest adding dex till you feel comfortable with your skill damage then going for Agi which raises sub weapon damage or Str, or experiment lol make your own build and pick the stats that best suit your playing style :p

Pure DEX produces stable crit/non-crit damage. No doubt. My first DW's stat choice is 35 AGI (just to get rid of the auto attack interval) and then all for DEX. Let me tell you the result, the damage output is somewhat ok but not high enough to deal massive amount. It's just .. ok. DW is the most ironic class here in toram. Why?

° Longer combo + not having any knowledge to cancel auto/normal attack dance = weaker damage output, and tends to die a lot due to poor mechanical outplay. higher % chance to trap inside the redzone, which can spell death.

° Greedy stats choice (Full DEX) = stable "OK"damage.

° No main damaging skill source/Scattered Skill points = No stronger damage output. All at the same "OK" level of damage.

° Greedy +atk% crysta choices = OK for normal weak bosses like roga etc. or sometimes hard boss runs but not in nightmares/ultimates and (super)rare/ultimate/legendary gem runs, MP hungry, Long MP charging which delays the runs because of the main hand not being staff/MD.

° Full damage oriented w/o any utility" kind of build = has a higher % chance to die a lot and suddenly became a liability for your party members. (they will suffer more.) This kind of build dies a lot because of the player being squishy and delays the runs a lot by using long version of MP charge. for me, that's not optimal. remember, if you die, you will deal 0 damage + your party will suffer for your own mistake and forced to carry you out with them. that's not a good thing to have as a player.

All of these are the traits of a "damage oriented" kind of players. They don't care about survivability nor utility. They hate balance and loves full damage>everything. That's not a bad trait to have tho, but sometimes, in harder boss runs, if they die, you'll suddenly forced to carry them. The more greedy they are, the more punishable it can be. yep, here in game. just like IRL.

In DW, being like this can be really punishing, especially if you have no idea how to cancel your auto/normal attacks. Imagine someone having high atk% but so squishy + his/her combo(s) is/are so long + have no idea how to cancel auto attack. this kind of player right here is your go-to player if you wanna sell tons of revita 4 and farm first-aid and support emblems at the same time. yep, he/she will die a lot.

Dual Wielding is not your go-to class if you love seeing high damage output (BIG NUMBERS!) while just pressing 1 or 2 buttons. if you want to dish out good amount of damage as a DW, you need to invest extra time and effort for you to succeed.

accepting the fact that DW needs to stat hybrid, needs to survive and be consistent while not disregarding the fact that you still need to deal decent/good amount of damage output is the best core knowledge to have in my personal opinion.

I prefer sacrificing all these expensive +atk% xtals and choose to last and survive all throughout the battles with HP + MP + AMPR focused xtals while still dealing a good amount of damage and not let my party member suffer for my own mechanical error/built wrong.

Yeah, I already saw some of these words from your guides. you've been here for so long and did a lot of guides for our fellow dual wielder including myself, But I can humbly say that these words are all came from my mind and the main purpose of my post is to help someone in need. As dual wielder main, It's hard for me to not give credits to you @Cypherian because of the fact that you came here first, you really are a great help for me and we're abusing the same DW boosted stat. don't worry, I'm just an ordinary DW player who loves to write my own story. :)

I'm not that new here actually, I've been here for months using my other account. This one that I'm using right is my new account, I created a new toram account and sync the name here. I'm just not used to writing anything or responsing to anything. but now I think that I need to share my little knowledge to my fellow DW too.

Cancelling DW auto attacks cannot be taught but needs to naturally learn throughout the time. The cancelling will be during Spinning slash and trigger slash as an ender. This mastery separates mediocre DW to great DW.

You can cancel autos using skills and combos, most likely mspd boosted skills, and you can also cancel autos by moving away while attacking. A skill that has helped me out alot.

I guess the and between Spinning slash and Trigger slash means that the mastery can be from 2 different mechanics. hardhit > astute > trigger slash all consec is the most basic skill to practice this mechanics with. DW can cancel 2 autos in one process. so it means that you can prorate 3 autos after combo ender in a short period of time depending on your timing.

It's literally during Spinning slash. One of the auto attack cancelling mechanic can be utilize while the spin is ticking. :)

Can u pls. explain to me, how spin & trigger can canceled an auto attacks as an ender in a combo. I knew some things on how u can cancel autos, but never encounter this spinning slash as an ender. :)

I feel that a lot of people here are chastising full DEX builds. There are quite a bit of builds that use this stat configuration and are quite successful.
For example, check the Unsheathe build (my build is almost a carbon copy of that; half by coincidence, half by me being lazy). You have great damage (my Charging can do up to 20k*2, and not even at cap rn), yet you have:
    - A source of evasion (I dunno about you but a lot of people tend to forget Reflex)
    - A few utility skills (Charging is EXTREMELY GOOD for AoE dodging, due to how fast the startup is and how slow the ending animation is; Shadowstep is also applicable on certain situations)
    - Some survivability
What really separates the best from the others is playstyle. A noob will try to copy the best build and just use it mindlessly; a pro can take ANY build and make it work, just because of the sheer amount of knowledge and practice they have (there's too many examples of this).
My only regret is to not have stored at least one Forehead Protector lol
