[Ask] How do Impact work at sniper & What is the different Impact lv 1 and Impact lv 10

    Hi I want to know how magic impact works..
    I am hunter lv 78 when post this. My nick name is M. Samzz (MazterSamzz actually, but because its too long so i cut it) and I am [Dex>Crit] type.
    My skill build is

    Shot Skill lv 3
    1. Power Shot lv 5
    2. Bulls Eye lv 5
    3. Snipe lv 10
    4. Moeba Shot lv 5
    5. Paralysis Shot lv 5
    6. Smoke Dust lv 1
    7. Shot Mastery lv 10
    8. Long Range lv 5
    9. Quick Draw lv 9 (Will be 10 later)
    10. Sneak Attack lv 10

    Magic Skill lv 1
    1. MP charge lv 1

    Battl Skill lv 2
    1. Attack up lv 5
    2. Smash lv 5
    3. Crit up lv 10

    Survival Skill lv 2
    1. Safe Rest lv 5
    2. HP Boost lv 6
    3. Fighter Hight lv 1
    4. Safe Rest lv 5
    5. MP Boost lv 5
    6. Sober analysis lv 6

    (Maybe I will Choose 1 skill like smash or throwing dagger or sonic wave later for replace my Sneak attack at my combo)

    Here is my Char look like, not so good for now because i not make the appearance yet XD

    But i dont go for magic impact type yet, but im still comparing my build to some magic impact hunter that i meet by see level different and attack rewards...
    AS far as I read, Impact reduce MP for next skills and it can tumble enemies and the best sniper untill this time..
    Here is my combo now
    -> Moeba Shot -> Smoke Dust (save) -> Paralysis shot (consec) -> Snipe (smite) -> Sneak Attacks (consec) [1MP]

    as far as i play i can match some player who use
    -> Moeba Shot -> Magic impact (save) -> Snipe (smite) -> Throwing dagger/ Smash/ Sonic Wave (Consec) [1MP]

    Without Xtal and our damage is same like 10.000-25.000 (Sometimes 30.000 and 8.000). The different is damage by snipe stability

    Thats review about my hunter. Now back to the topic.
    I have some question, because i never experienced it..
    1. I want to know how magic impact affect snipe and enemies (is it just tumble enemies and lower mana for snipe or have more ?)
    2. Whats the different Magic impact level 1 till 10, then why i look at precaria [Dex>Crit] skill build that he learn level 7 magic impact (because i am Dex>Crit type)
    3. Whats your advice about my build thanks.

    level 1-6 impact has cast time
    level 7-10 has none
    u can say level 1-6 impact has no impact....

    Oh thats why any more description about impact u know XD because im still need more information if i want to use my oblivion book to this char hahaha...

    Hunter means Bow user right? Imo after maxing dex stat you should start adding str for stability and cdmg% (5str=1%cdmg). You can still choose CRT as your personal but you can just leave it 1 for the mean time cause youll be crittin enough w/ the help of gears and snipe has high crit rate in bows. So in end game your stat would be like this (Dex>Str>Crt). Hope this would help yah. GL w/ your hunter. :D

    The combo that exactly can be compared to your combo isn't moeba>save impact>snipe smite>cons smash. Because smite snipe after save is +50%dmg -60%dmg (cause save). But your smite snipe are after paralize that mean +50% dmg -40%dmg (cause save). So u should compare with users that use smite snipe with -40%dmg (cause save) not -60%dmg (cause save) eg user with this combo. Moeba (1MP) > Save Smoke (0MP) -80%dmg > Impact (2MP Save -2MP) -60%dmg > Snipe Smite (4MP -2MP from Save -2MP from Impact) -40%dmg > Smash (1MP) -20%dmg.

    Hope my answer help.
    1. Impact useful for proration (theres 3 type of attack, normal attack, physical attack and magic attack. If u attack a monster with same type of attack, ur dmg sometimes will be lowered) Since hunter skill as far as i know is all physical atk, so impact would help.

    2. Lvl 7 Impact is instant cast, no need to wait, thats why Starlord say lvl 1-6 impact mean no impact xD.

    are u sure ur combo only cost 100mp?
    because paralysis shot with consecutive tag cost 200mp, then followed by smited snipe 400mp
    means ur combo cost 200mp per execution

    1. Impact affects the MP cost of snipe. Cutting it from 4 to 2.
    -But impact already costs 2 MP bars!? Then where's the benefit!? :eek:
    -The benefit is that doing this you can smite your snipe and add a combo closer skill like Smash which you decide to activate or not (by approaching or staying at distance). So there you have, a fast 150% dmg Snipe combo that costs the same as a 100% Snipe: 4mp bars. Plus, if you decide to hit the target with Impact, your sniping will do higher dmg due to a bit extra proration.

    2. -OK! So why should I have Impact at Lv7???
    -Because from 1 to 6 it has cast time delay. Since rank 7 the skill will be insta-casted. Leveling it up to 10 will only increase it's tumble rate a little and it's damage too, but we're snipers, we don't care about some hundred damage, we care about thousands of dmg dealt. So leave it on Lv7 and prioritize other essential skills.

    3. Advice about your build... First get a Roga xtal and use it on your c888 armor. Don't spend SP on the 3 hp related skills. Instead, max MP Boost and Sober Analysis. Quick Draw 10 is priority. Critical UP is priority. I have Attack UP 10 and Smash (battle) 10 too. I also have Shot Mastery 10 and Long Range 10, but this last one isn't safe to add. Focus on the others. Always attack around 3 times before your first snipe. That's the fast advice I can give you. Doing this, you'll beat snipers who have the best gears even if you have cheap gear, just like me. Hopefully this helps. ;)

    @DanzAway: Ya i already use it so i can tell that combo 1MP cost, but if u put the paralisis shot off, that combo will take 1,5 MP bar to be cast.

    @Precaria: Thanks for the advice, i learn so much from ur post too.. hahaha.. sience my brother told me ur sniper is good so I use your guide at 1st hahaha...
    And its good...
    Oh ya about 3 times attack before use 1st snipe, is it affect the critical damage or something?

    Ofc your snipe crit dmg would be affected by normal hitting (its actually called proration). I know its hard to explain what proration is so i will just link a video for you to understand. http://toramonline.com/index.php?threads/proration-system-review.8993

    Ok now i know aboujt preation, but the proation affect each user or each monster ?

    Example:
    If I hit 5 times with normal attack and archer on my party doing snipe, is it distrubing my proation? Or its not affect me when archer on my party?
