does it matter if the armour crafted has less def than its base def?
E.g : l was buying HFG on cb when l noticed many but had (Base def:141) while (def:121) etc..
Does it really matter like it does for weapons in term of base atk or nah? Since generally it is considered nothing of much concern..

Not much. Usually anything past 250 def/mdef isn't a big deal. I can reach this value using an adv garb, so I particularly don't bother about it.

Def and mdef beyond 250 is a waste specially on DPS. It is becoming more irrelevant if the DPS use GSW or a rampage user.

Don't mind too much on def and mdef as long as it reach the total of 250 on both stat. Remember, your buying the stat of the armour not the def.
