Best spot for farming summer shells

Now that the summer event is officially here, I'd like to know your opinions on which water ele mob is the best place to farm them, particularly for high level farmers.

I remember during the summer event last year that the higher the level of the water ele mob, the higher the drop rate of summer shells, is that still true for this year's summer event? If so, then I think acernix from Garden of ice & snow is one of the best places to farm summer shells, it's high level, low hp, and rarely drops the special gear which lessens the number of times you have to proc them from your bag, it's also the prime medicine farming spot, which is very useful for statting and crafting pots.

Any suggestions on which place is the best?


So far after looking at other player's suggestions we have determined the best mobs to farm summer shells depending on your needs:

Acernix from Garden of ice & snow (Also gives lots of medicine materials, prime medicine farming spot)
Finpen beside cerberus (Also gives lots of exp, beast, and cloth mats, take the quest from garden of beginning first to get the exp)
Blue Bubble angels at Shrine of the gods area 2 (Also gives lots of metal materials, prime metal farming spot)
Venomsch at Ultimea sewer: south, location shown in the vid(Also gives lots of beast and medicine materials)

 

Finpen are probably the best as you can stack exp + item quest.

For low lvl voda roar at lutaros. More than a stk in 5 min if you have full storm pt. But I would say finpen would the best overall because of the quest.

 

After some research, it seems that if the enemy is level 50 or above, you will get a summer shell drop 100% of the time.

 

I tried both Finpen and Acernix, I like Acernix more, it's easier to kill for my lv. 130 full luk stormer.

EDIT: I farmed 55 stacks of SS in 1h30 - 2h at Acernix. And, if you have a mage in that range, you will also slowly level up. It's like a SS paradise up there. Kinda wonder whether its price will drop rapidly ...

 

For those who wants to farm metal mats and summer shells at the same time, the blue bubble angels at Shrine of the gods area 2 is an excellent spot to farm both at the same time, as bubble angel is also the prime metal farm spot, and there's plenty of dive impact farmers farming them

 

If you farm for a full bag, and only proc 98 of the 99. Then the farming will probably even faster, since you don't spend time processing. Well, that is if you don't care for the other drops and a full temporary bag icon.

I think the best spot is lutaros cave, is really faster that other spots for farn summer shells.

 

Depends your level and what your comfortable with.
Like, Acernix by myself I can get 5 stacks casual storm. With someone I got 10. With full party I got like 20 to 30. In the same time frame.

 

I want to farm lots of wood with summer shells with, exp, where can I find such a mob, im currently level 140

 

How about Frosti at Fort Solfini? It gives wood and med mats, and some extra mana.

 

Finpen at Spring of Rebirth is a good spot and has 2 quests.

I also found snowman spot but no one wants to farm it.

 

There are two spots for Acernix. Doesn't the one near the entrance kinda overlap with snowman?

 

the spot is total opposite of popular ace spot.
Ace popular spot is near Southwest corner of map while snowman is near Northeast corner of map.

 

Southwest, northeast ... @@? If you teleport with the TP there, go a bit east/right, I meant that spot. I got some snowman drops there, occasionally.
