Best Stats to add to low level character/equipment

I have a low level blacksmith that I'm monkeying around with and I have some low level characters with equipment that I want to add some stats to. Is there a guide somewhere as to which stats are more useful to add to your equipment? I'm thinking of either increasing my HP/Def through MaxHP/MaxHP%/VIT/VIT% etc, or increasing Attack on all my low level items. My blacksmith is only level 40 so he can't do much, but I'm wondering what will be most useful at beginner levels.

 

Frankly speaking, lv 40 blacksmith will not do any good for statting. The potential loss:gain ratio is really bad. Not to mention you can only add 3 stats at that lv. NPC crafted equipments are better.

 

Dex
Lots and lots of Dex

Point being... Dex increases your proficiency ability. But this is just for yourself.

 

As Pregnant have said, they won't be better than NPC equips. Also def is somewhat useless (and costs a lot of potential cuz Suzuki), and you won't be able to get a lot of HP from maxHP or Vit.

Always better to clear MQ first then do other things.

Why though? He doesn't seem to have any crafters.
