Best support skill for a 2h dps?

So I know what you're probably thinking, "Don't waste your skill points!"
But, you see, what I was thinking was that it's actually not a horrible idea because of the free skill point you get from being best support during a boss fight 10 times, a skill point you can't get if you don't use support skills at all(also +5 stat points after 100). I'm only investing one point because my main focus is my damage output so all my sp will go towards that so I know whatever I get will only be vaguely useful but it's a free skill so who cares!

I was personally thinking about one of the healing skills(reason being there's no natural hp regen in the maze) but I'm open and hoping for suggestions.

As a footnote I have a question, do I need to use a staff to use any of the support skills or can I activate them with my 2h in hand?

 

Would like to update. I chose life recovery but it's not useful for me at all. The HP Regen is wonderful and all but my defense is lowered to a point where I'm basically a porcelain doll. Any hit I receive does away with any HP I may have gotten and much much more. If there was a way to deactivate the skill without getting hit then maybe... I'd advise the mini heal ability for any warrior getting one support skill for the purpose of getting the emblem.

 

You can just party with the criminally stupid and apply first aid as needed. 1st support emblem covered and no skill points required!

Plus it's kinda funny. Minotaur is a solid choice to find the under leveled/under equipped. And you can scold them for being so flammable.

 

Just so you know. Any buff that applies to the party is entered into the support category.

Bottom tree of Shield Skills.
Priest buffing skills.
All of Support tree.

As long as they benefit another character it is added.

Any support skill at lvl 1, especially the HP regen, is a detriment to you. You'd be much better off getting Bless, Aegis, Mini Heal, or the MP regeneration ability. All of these will be minimal or awful, but not detrimental to you or your parties success. Unlike the HP regen which will harm your entire party more than help it. LvL 10 Hp regen is great btw with minimal impact on defense.
