so i recently started a new character in my account and leveled her to 40, adding all her stats to tec stat(currently at 101) and i maxed her blacksmith and alchemy skills. when i am at the ex skill window, my proficiency for blacksmith is at lvl0 while my proficiency for alchemy is at lvl8. but when i go to the create menu, my proficiency level for blacksmith becomes lvl50 while my alchemy proficiency becomes lvl58. when i am making revita 2, my success rate is 3/10 even though the difficulty level states 58/30 for it. anyone can help with my problem?

As far as my knowledge is correct TEC increases the success rate of your 'production'. (I have a pure Smith too...) This means that the chances have increased but not reached certainty, hence, the "3/10". As per the "58/30" issue, my understanding is that you need a minimum of 30 proficiency to create the item, therefore all its saying is that it will be unlocked at 30 proficiency. Just like how you unlock the extra status row at 40. (Reach it and unlocked, go higher nothing happens)

    Hope it helps :)

first proficiency increase your succes rate, however creating item higher than your proficiency level will decrease your success rate.
and 2 TEC or 10 DEX increase 1 "difficulty" level means that u can create more high level item ^^ while proficiency only increase by creating items
    cmiiw.

tec = success with enhance refine, it also increases proficiency for both BS and Alchemy.
For BS, having tec will decrease the potential for an item made. In order for you to achieve the maximum potential of an item you must go full on one stat that you wish to create an item with e.g int = staff, vit = armor but take note of the success rate. IT WILL BE LOW.

There are lots of different BS, full tech (upgrader type) full stat type (INT, AGI, VIT, STR) depending on the equipment they wish to create.

my strategy on this is having tec at least 30 to get a hold of those items that are easy to create. once you hit the proficiency level without depending on your tec, reset and remove the tec and go to full stat.

I haven't tried alchemy so I don't have any say on that.
