Bowgun vs Bow

I have a problem. Pls help me. I wonder if the level cap is higher, bow dps will stronger than bowgun dps, is that true?
Btw, the bowgun cone iii is good? Because I see it s the only one npc bowgun weapon which is good. I hope there will be one bow like that.

 

Bowgun cone iii is very good for tank. I used it myself. Can't say anything about it for dps since i don't have ranged main except for mage :v. I think bow is already better than bowgun now. I mean the ailments..

 

I prefer use a char which use npc weapon than player craft weapon so I hope they will release a new 100cirt rate bow. Lol. I think gm want bowgun for a tank not a dps because its stability, ailment and crit penalty.

 

It didnt hit higher, bow just hit lower

 

bow is 2h, bowgun is 1h.
2h weapons are stronger than 1h.

the advantage of 1h weapons is the use of sub weapons, but they mostly add versatility, utility or defense rather than attack power.

so if you are only looking for attack power, bow with arrow is the strongest.

 

Hmm. Maybe u are true about that aspect. But in other aspec, bow is good at deal ailment, 1h too. Most skill of sword skill tree have bonus damge for 2h and bonus status ailment for 1h. About shot skill most of skill have bonus damage for bowgun and bonus status ailment for bow.

 

bowgun gets the higher power bonus for most skills, but it also has lower stability. bowgun users pray to RNGsus to shoot stronger than bows, but just like they can hit high, they will also hit low. bows are more consistent.

as for swords, 1h has better side effects, but 2h still deals more damage with every skill

 

Oh yea at cf they hit equal if its about max dmg. Bg has higher atk but bow gets +100 power for cf.Bg has that power on secondary hits but were talking about max dmg right

 

In my opinion, I used bowgun for most of my boss raid because I can't find a higher DMG(damage) bow in the consignment board.

I don't know why I matter more for DMG instead of my DEF or other stuff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I think bow and bg is equal now. I use bg, after i use bow. My last bow 3rd anniv +17+s, 2slot (sold out 24m with xtall). And now i use 3rd anniv bg +16 +s 2slot (5m no xtall). I really enjoy with my bg, because cheap but still strong like my bow.

 

There is also gun fu types

Spams decoy and chariot and maybe cf?

An offensive type with crazy ampr thanks to long range

 

knuckle sub doesn't increase your stats at all. it even decreases matk.
it does add bonus power to martial attack skills, but most of them are status skills so i consider it utility.

 

Chariot relies on atk, not matk

But yeah, martial discipline should be maxed (atk skill +10%)

 

Will this New BG make any change on BG destiny ?

The damage still consider normal but it's have the higher stability in BG series, with DEX 255 ( + 12 ~ 13 Stability ) and Arrow ( + 10 Stability ) we can have more than 90% of the weapon stability. Not sure can this BG enter hall of fame like Master Tonfa.

bg cf on its own is on par with bow cf, but bow cf get damage booster from snipe's guard break (bcs bow has 100% guard break chance and bg only 10% chance) , while for bg u have to pray for RNG to let u get lucky shot

 

DEX dont give stability for BG, only STR give that.
