Hello! I'm new to the game and I made a brawler because of this guide. I don't have those skills yet but I'm curious as to what save,smite and con are. Also, how is it possible to use 5 different skills in a combo if there are only 4 shortcut slots?

 

Combos only require one shortcut each basically. I'm not sure if you've unlocked it yet or not, I can't remember what exactly you gotta do. However in the skills tab of the menu you will combo up at the top if you have it. There you can start setting it up. For the most part the different effects explain what they do when your selecting them.

Consecutive: Lowers the MP cost of the skill depending on how far it is in the combo
Smite: Increases MP usage but also increases damage
Save: Greatly decreases damage and MP usage
Swift: Increases the action speed of that skill
Mind's Eye: Can't remember but I don't think anyone uses it lol.

You just have to use the first skill in the combo to start it. You need to level up your combo level in order to put more skills in a combo. The max is 6 but most of the time people don't put all 6 in one. You can set up more than one combo. If you are a brawler the best combo to start out with would be Smash>Sonic Wave(cons) in order to level it up.

 

If I remember it right u need to had 10 different skills so u can use/set up ur combo. U only need to use the combo opener the 1st skill on the combo to execute the whole combo. Consec, Smite & Save are effects that u can use on the skills on ur combo.
