[Build] Hybrid DPS Brawler (a.k.a. The Breaker v2) by~ NineArts

    About
    This build is flexible and at the middle (mid-dps, breaker, dodge-combo-tank), weapons of choosing are Knuckles and Daggers (equipment modification is possible going Evasion Rate or Guard Rate). Currently (12/28/2015) only bad knuckles for brawlers (a39 max), so their DPS are still on the mid end of the spectrum. Lastly, can auto attack at any position within 8 meters (auto attacks are essential for Attack MP Recovery and Damage Drop Off) and quickly gain 1 mp bar to use in a combo after 2 auto attacks (depends on Attack MP Recovery gear stacking).

    Your ideal party will be all Snipers, example: [link] (on average, clearing that boss will require 4-5 minutes (on [Lv.75] cap), your main role is to interrupt and combo like there's no tomorrow to let the party clear it in under 1 minute :D). At current cap (Lv.75) other class may be able to still tank, but i have a hunch that there will be a time that Brawlers will be a high requirement in clearing harder bosses in future updates (look at Boss Roga, high damage, high tap health and still a Lv.62 boss, and the incoming Hard Mode future update).

    So if you like to be in front lines and want to always face the boss head on with added modification flexibility, this build is for you.

    My Recommended Builds from others:
    Full Tank = (60% AGI, 20% VIT, 20% CRIT | Knuckles+Shield) [BUiLD] Tanker Breaker Brawler v1 [link] by~ @Victrix

    Stat Distribution

    Lv.75: 115 SP, 210 Stat (if full Agi: +1, so 211 Agi)

    Full AGI until it reaches maximum value (255?), Personal Stat: CRIT

    in future levels (after AGI is maxed at Lv.95) i'm thinking of;
    a) VIT-CRIT (50:50) for Survivability and Crit Rate
    b) DEX-CRIT (50:50) for Additional Hit, Attack and Crit Rate
    c) DEX (100%) for Additional Hit, Attack and just getting Crit Rate from gears​

    Power Wave = it's annoying to chase after running bosses just for an ampr, and to wait for bosses to finish their AOE to continue your auto attacks (sometimes if you risk interrupting their AOE, your gambit fails and you die).
    *** adjust according to your preference:
    Lv.4~5: 7 meters
    Lv.6~7: 8 meters
    Lv.8~9: 9 meters
    Lv.10: 10 meters​

    Combo Setup
    SET A.1: DPS
    combo #1 (setup, use 101mp) Sonic Wave ~> Smash (cons) ~> Bash (save) ~> Impact
    combo #2 (execute, use between 301mp - 899mp) Impact ~> Triple Kick (smite) ~> Lance
    *** you have to build up your damage drop off, more explanation from previous version (v1 of this build) and about damage drop off: [link]

    SET A.2: Boss Tank - (this will always pull boss aggro if done correctly)
    Sonic Wave ~> Smash (cons) ~> Bash (cons) ~> Shell Break (cons) ~> Impact (cons) ~> Triple Kick (cons)
    *** technique is to execute at a distance (if possible) and tap the parts to be broken, because if Flinch activates, Tumble is removed, it's a waste to just remove that 4+ second Tumble.
    SET B: Quick Interrupt
    Smash ~> Sonic Wave (cons)

    Suggested Gear (Lv.75): - suggested means, my own preference, it still depends on you in the end.

    Weapon: (NPC) Jamadhar (Attack MP Recovery +2, Critical Rate +40%, Dex +3) & +2 Crit xtal (or any strong element VS element of target)
    Offhand: (NPC) Bush Knife (Weapon Atk +10, Physical Pierce +6%, Aspd -2%)
    Armor: (Boss) Killer Coat (Critical Rate +10, Matk +2%, Aspd +10%, Dodge +10%, Stability +6%, Dark Resist +4%) & +2 Crit xtal
    Additional: (Boss) War Helmet (Weapon Atk +10, Critical Rate +10, Ailment Resist -20%) & Silver Roar xtal
    Accessory: (NPC) Speed Talisman II (Max MP +300, Agi +4) & Eerie xtal

    so with this setup, you will have 59 Critical Rate (Full Agi, 1 Crit) (based from: http://roche11.html.xdomain.jp/criticalritu.html)
    when you remove Jamadhar (Critical Rate +40%), it will be 47 Critical Rate.

    you can get +2 Crit xtal (a.k.a. Budget Meal Crit Crystals) from Nemico Lv.45 at Saham Underground Cave.
    also, +2 Agi xtal is from Cliff Pico (Lonogo Canyon)

    lastly, never forget to bring your Blue Gelatin, because you are not using Ooze Armor that has Attack MP Recovery.

    other thoughts: at current cap (Lv.75) we don't have proper knuckles yet for DPS.

    Heavy Build Option:
    if you prefer Guard Effect instead of Flee/Dodge or Evasion (for me, i do), you will have to equip Feather Cape with Silver Roar Xtal and Heavy Remodeled Ooze Armor, you will also have to always use Mega Speed Potions, because you have to reach at least 1057 ASPD to achieve that minimum ASPD without the green bar (i think it can be lower than 1057, maybe 1040).

    to know more about Flee/Dodge or Evasion, refer to this expanded topic: [link] meanwhile, Guard Effect always reduces damage even on Crit Attacks (and also increases hate generated aside from long high MP combos).

    im always your fans. since im also a brawler enthusiast ^_^
    i have different equip set for brawler. I used Fighter chignon cap to boost 2%short range damage + 1 ampr bonus w knuckle.
    and some infos are wandering aroung about AMPR bonus is capped at certain point (+15 if im not mistaken). so investing all spina into sroar also isnt wise unless you want to change eerie with dark mush

    accumulated bonus ampr cap? link pls :D so if that's the case, then Trigger Slash will also have this mechanic?

    im searching for that. however i couldnt find it now. >_<. someone already tested it, but that thread isnt popular. i still dont know that ampr cap is for all weapon or only for certain weapon.

    From what I read somewhere in this forums, Power wave has damage penalty to other weapons.

    If you're not putting any points to Crit stat, and doesn't care that much about the extra dodge, Hard Buckler is better than Storm Dagger. HB gives flat 4 Crit Rate while SD only gives 7% of your base Crit, roughly 1.75 flat Crit Rate.

    EDIT: I completely forgot about Shield's Aspd penalty. Too drunk last night :oops:

    I use mirror shield and aqua garb light on my brawler. Ups Eva and flee a lot. Just a thought.

    yes, i need ampr in any position within 10meters, only damage penalty on auto attacks, around -50% damage at Lv.10

    I had a guildie confirm for me. Yes it's -50% to auto. BUT md in secondary mitigates this completely. ;)

    Hi sorry just want to ask.. If this build is pure agi until it reaches max agi stat.. Why still use f.cape??

    as i have mentioned previously, this build is still in it's draft phases: v.001 (12/23/2015): initial draft, build not yet finalized

    with regards to your question, here is my answer: if going Heavy Armor you will have huge ASPD penalty failing to reach minimum ASPD to remove the green bar during auto attacks as i have noted under the "Heavy Build Option" information.

    recently i reached Lv.75, hitting 211 Agi, here are the stats (armor used has no Flee or ASPD bonus):

    [1326 ASPD / 312 Flee] if normal ([1242 ASPD / 292 Flee] without Storm Dagger)
    [1923 ASPD / 538 Flee] if light armor remodel ([1839 ASPD / 503 Flee] without Storm Dagger)
    [729 ASPD / 197 Flee] if heavy armor remodel ([645 ASPD / 185 Flee ] without Storm Dagger)
    • if wearing Killer Coat: ASPD +10%

    my build is still in it's testing phases at the moment, and i haven't calculated yet as to how exact the ASPD we will have at max Agi wearing Heavy Armor.
    at around Lv.94 we will able to reach 254 Agi (including emblems).

    What's the cool down of tumble from sonic wave and does it overlap over impact or does the cool down stay the same as long as it's tumble?

    from my tests and observation, the global cooldown of all status effects is the same with it's effect duration

    so example, Tumble from Sonic Wave has around 4.5 seconds effect, after 4.5 seconds, Tumble from other skills (such as Impact, Spiral Air, Power Shot and Cross Parry) can be activated again (including other party members who use it). That's why Flinch can be spammed because it is like 1.4 seconds Flinch duration.

    the only one that protects from these effects are status ailment resistance of certain targets (currently no data about percentages).

    so it's wise if only the brawler does the breaking (and others do the tapping), because once they activate Stun effect from Bash (which has the longest status effect in game at max level), it can be cancelled by other status effects with less effect duration from other players regardless of the kind of status effect they use.

    Just to add a small correction:
    If a target under any status effect; using a skill which causes the same effect does not lessen the current duration on a failure but adds to it on a success.

    I have personally made Stun last for 24sec with the help of a second breaker using Bash back and forth, between us.

    Btw, that's called a Lockdown. Lol
