I need some ideas on the business end of how things will go. I don't plan on starting too soon but want to have 8 stks of anti, 4 stks of ori, hemi and damascus not a big deal i have about 10 of each sitting in storage and i plan to wait until i have about 10m as back up. So i think i'll be all set on preparations for this or at least slightly better than recommended to safely start. I've dug around, seen don't refine during orb campaigns for smith(noted). I've looked around your shops, figured out my own gimmick, i'm gonna do something simple like half off a 5th purchase(will keep ledger) and every 10th purchase free~ referring to ns items only though cause don't wanna entirely screw my self over, just my sanity lel.... So any tips on how to approach the business front and customers how to handle the trades like should i screenshot everything for example? I definitely should, that's just an example. Thanks in advance~ also is just 1 goat enough? Cause i have 50 others prepped and some sage for smudging just in case....

Edit: Shop is officially definitely gonna be called Phoenix Down~ Credit to Hiame i think for name

Start small, +S takes time and +A does as well but +B or lower can be done within a few minutes to a day unless you have terrible rng luck, screenshot all transactions and don't give insurance unless you're willing to take a loss, use here or a message app to do orders instead of Shouting in game. Beyond that just figure out your usual luck with refining before deciding on price you're willing to sell for.

For no slot, i figure on average it takes around 50 orich to get from E to B between good luck and bad luck.

At each B try, you'll get, on average 20 attempts to hit A before it drops to C since 5% degrade rate w luck
Now multiply that by 5 times before you hit A

250 orich and 350 andeg comes to be around 6.5M of sunk costs if you're trying to refine to A ns.

I'm sure there's someone out there with proper statistics math out there, but heres my break down.

But basically, for every 3 times you sit at E you'll succeed twice and fail about once.
For every 6 times to sit at D you'll succeed once and fail 1.5 times
For every 20 times you sit at C you'll succeed once and fail 5 times

So i did some averaging out and basically you do a 11 orichalcum loop going from E to C and back down. Multiply that by about 5 times before you will actually hit B and I just set it to 50 cuz it's a nice round number.

    To ensure profit -
Set B to at least 1.5m (will make on average 300k profit at 800k andegs)
Set A to at least 7m (will make on average 500k profit at 800k andegs)

Of course you wanna throw in time and labor costs for your shop too. however long you think it'll take for time, throw on the worth you think you are.

2m for B is a pretty fair price as it only takes a few minutes
and since A takes 5 times as long (or more) you can multiply that so maybe around 9.5 to 11.5m

Screen shot everything as stated previously by another.

You seem to be all set in terms of starting a business, so I'll be quick.

    Before the service :
    - Ask and confirm what the customer wants. Make sure you know what he wants so no false transactions are made.
    - Negotiate your prices. Most would be satisfied with your prices as long as they are reasonable, but if you need to, lower it as much as you can without ruining your income. It is easier to give higher prices towards loyal customers.*
    - Ask them how they want the transaction to be handled. The standard is having the customer trade in the spina and the item and allowing you to refine it. Once you are done, you would either gift or (preferred)trade them back the item. Any special transactions that are different to that are sketchy, so you may want to avoid it.

    During the service :
    - Always be transparent with your customer (Inform them of your progress, current amount spent and how much more time you will need)
    - Never increase the prices mid service to cover for your loss without negotiating with your customer beforehand. Some may accept and give an additional amount of spina, and others will reject. If that happens, you'll just have to suck it up and complete the service. If you feel that you may not be able to refine within a certain budget, ask for a higher price.
    - Respect your customer. Just like working in retail, being aggressive towards a troublesome customer will always make things worse.
    - Make a receipt, screenshot, whatever you can. This will help you keep track of the amount you've spent and earned. It will also act as a "proof of service" that you can show to others and gain reputation.

    After the service :
    - Thank the customer. Tell him to come back again. Do whatever you can keep your customers. Loyal customers are better than having many.*
    - Ask him to rep you in any way. Tell his friends, share your thread or whatever. You're gonna need it.

Have you tried the goat though? Sometimes a chicken works. But what really helps is some sage for smudging uwu that's the real trick. Can't just sacrifice a goat and hope all is well, no no, RNGesus doesn't want to help those with the stench of death lingering around them so you gotta smudge the ritual area to cleanse the bad juju and cover up the smell of death~

I made mine a Halb Lukfiner though with full luk it'd be smarter to make it a mage for storm farming. I only did this because i plan to level it at some point for equal str and luk for farming higher mobs. Anyways for refining b-s you want FULL Luk rest int or str depending which farmer type you want(mage will be quicker to do). After that you wanna max all your refine skills in the smith tree. Some people say refine 1 is enough. I disagree because i feel like it's plain bad luck and have no actual evidence to prove otherwise so meh. That's basically all you need. Full Luk stat, Max refine skills under smith. Wouldn't hurt to throw 1 in proc for quickly processing junk when farming. For the rest put your skill points towards storm and finale for mage and get your maximer+charge skills or for halb Dive impact and Dragon tooth with quick aura for hp maintenance and warcry of struggle for quick mp regain while under 55% hp. That's all you need really. Rest is up to you for survival or maximizing your damage. Definitely take battle skills too for halb. Also like i said the mage lukfiner is quicker and easier to complete. Hope this helps ^^/

So far the maxing all 3 refine skills or just putting 1 point in the 1st one is just superstition and wanting to get other skills instead, there's no actual proof that either case has better results since your success rate is 1% regardless.
