    Because its a rare item from guild maze. And you can only get the alternative from orbs. Those who don't have orbs will have to spent abundant spina to buy one of these tradable item instead. Tattered catalog isn't as expensive due to it being the byproduct of avatar recycling. While somethinh like extraction crysta is a byproduct of people doing orb gachas. Gender switch stone is not a byproduct of those gachas or avatar recycling. Its a pure orb to item thing.
