Character backstory

So not entirely sure whether this has been made or not but, I got a little curious as to whether or not anyone here has made a decent ( atleast somewhat interesting) backstory for their main character. If so, post them in here with a picture of your main character. I'd love to hear them

 

I have considered writing a backstory for my MC actually! She's based off my FFXIV chara which is named Ursa Minor (also known as The Little Dipper or "Little Bear"). Since Ursa Minor was too long I went for the nickname Ursami. My FFXIV chara is much more fleshed out but I'm working on learning more about Toram so I can come up with something that fits with the world. How about you?

so far i'm kinda in the same situation, i'm working on a sword fu build with my new character at the moment but i'm hoping to delve into a backstory for him sometime soon. if you ever need any help with that or anything at all don't hesitate to swing me a message or anything, i'm usually on so ahah

You're always so nice haha! I definitely will. My FFXIV Ursami is a healer but I've got her as an archer for now. That may change eventually. Can't wait to hear what you come up with for your chara. ^^

Hmmm... I was once pretty intrigued by Valkyrie chronicles theme of "a heroic soul is summoned in times of strife" in tandem with japans idea of reincarnation

Thus considering that toram is around 100 years after iruna... I always thought that my toram char is the reincarnation of the adventurer hero in iruna, plus all those commentaries of ancient type NPCs that also got an appearance in iruna: "you remind me of a certain person" mathingy...

Sadly this theory/back story was debunked when the soul of the legendary adventurer aided you in defeating bexiz... So now im kinda stickin with the generic summoned from another world and got amnesia kinda plotline....

But hey am still tying to redo my char from iruna an overcapped Str|Dex|Vit tank/nuker paladin, but then again, this dream is still soo far away with toram's available skills and stat points...

 

I was actually thinking the same for awhile but yeah, it would have been a nice theory though.

I'd personally love if you could do up a character backstory and then it would be brought into the game, you know? I feel like that would be quite interesting.

 

Well i dunno if you'll like my theory/back story but ill just post it anyway soo we all know that almas is the lost god right? no one knows where he is and even after the final battle in eldenbaum is done he still hasn't come back. So my theory is that almas may be related to our character, he may be our father or grandfather or any other relative, remember all the bosses in the new story missions? so i was thinking that there is a much more bigger boss than them and they might have almas. The reason why i think almas and our character is related is because of the fact that our character appeared at the same era where almas is missing and the fact that when we started our journey, our character is already grown up but why? why didn't we get to see our childhood? why didn't we get to see our parents? why didn't we get to see who we are? most importantly why didn't we get to see what we are? if ur confused about the last question lemme explain, remember those times that some of the npc says that the things we do are beyond human, even pelulu thinks that we are a reincarnation of a mage, and think about when we were brought to the dark domain. The people there says that we won Grecia's trust for being brave and strong to fight the monsters, but why didn't she save the legendary adventurer before? She saved us because we were brave enough but the legendary adventurer is way ahead of us because he saved the qorld many times, but why did grecia didn't saved him when he was dying like how she did with us? Why did she saved an adventurer that has no knowledge of the world and has completely forgotten who they are and what they're past is instead of a legendary adventurer that had saved the world many times? the answer is because we won her confidence, but to think that winning the god/goddess' confidence sounds to good to be true right? especially if were just an adventurer that's missing ourselves unlike the legendary adventurer, so i feel that grecia isn't telling us something, its she felt something more, its like she felt something that she shouldn't just let us die like any other people. So im really thinking that our character is related to almas or what if we are almas, what if almas is resting within in our soul because of everything that is happening or more of what if we were with him then we were attacked by the coenubias and he saved us but in order to keep us safe he took our memories away so we wouldn't come back to where he is kept because who knows how strong the monster who kept him really is.
