Bow I think, because you'll encounter more and more anti-melee play style bosses in the later chapters of the main quest

    Halloh
Tbh I don't think people really need to take MQ bosses into consideration for class choice because the easiest way is just to run away and do every boss on easy with a merc anwyays.

So, I'd see reasons for a good amount of classes to be brutally honest.
One handed Sword - If you are new to Toram online, then this would be a great and easy way of understanding the game mechanics without making anything too easy to mess up, one handed sword is in my opinion one of the most lenient skill branches to start with because there is not much punishment for getting skills or spending too many skill points on skills.
Staff/Magic Device - These two have the same reason for me, farming mages make a lot of money for people who dont have blacksmiths, which are mainly people who just started the game. Mages can do a lot of damage without being close to the enemy and there are spells which can make quick work of larger groups of enemies faster resulting in more drops and thus more money. However you become a liability when you become the one the enemy targets most of the time.
Bow - This is basically the One Handed Sword and Mage class had a child who likes the father (One Handed Sword) more than the mother. Can deal a high amount of damage from range with a decently lenient skill branch where every skill has a very good use so spending many skill points isn't punishing. You get options to have aoe but you mainly stick to single hits that hit hard.

The rest of the classes are fine, just I would say for economic and easy to play you'd best be with these weapon types.
Also when I say punishing by that I mean there is a downside in spending 10 skill points on a skill. Most of the time you only need to spend 5 to get to the better skills so spending 10 for a small benefit is a waste of points you could use on something better. If a skill tree is not punishing, it means you can spend skill points to max out skills without it being a large determent to getting the best skills.

However! I am not here to tell you how to play the game XD Play however you want and if something seems interesting why not experiment and learn more about how to play the game.

every class is 'economical' till getting the 1st attacker rank becomes your only priority.

What's your play style? Solo preference, party preference or mix?

Do you like large one time attacks or multiple fast attacks?

Do you want to help others mainly, partly or not at all?

Do you like being the hero, just that guy on the side, thehelper or the wanderer?

Ask yourself this before asking for a class suggestion.

Cross fire user, Finale mage, or tank are probably the easiest to advertise in random parties. Tbh it dosent matter much what you choose as first few characters as you’ll probably have to make a bunch of new characters before you settle on a main

If you're new, you should probably go tank or support mage. Lvl 3 skill dps is pretty low nowadays, making leveling slow or people kicking you for not doing enough dps. Level in parties, this game isn't very solo friendly unless you have really good equipment. Rush main/mission quest with mercenaries.

    Tank 1h/Shield.
    >Higher rate of survival
    >Versatile
    >Shields are free (kinda) , they drop from mobs/bosses.
    >Most drop swords are useful for tanking.
    >Every party needs ones eventually, and new bosses/events drive high demand. So you are guaranteed a party.
    >Tank rank. You'll probably win it. Or support. So you'll get more items.

And you'll get a good understanding of the boss mechanics.

You don't have to create a magician and in fact, it is harder to solo with a magician because your only heavy damage skill is finale which has a 3s cast time and can be interrupted making you lose the mp. Bosses later in the game, post lv100 attack quite fast and as such it would be difficult (not impossible) not get a finale off without knowing the boss patterns. All other weapon skill trees have it easier. There is a skill called Magic Burst which has ok dps but for a t4 skill it requires a lot of proration before the dps becomes ok so it is lackluster.

If you want to play alone yet occasionally tank for party play, you can try a guardian mage build which is a staff+shield build that specializes more so in supportive play yet can tank if the main tank dies.

Magician is good if you prefer party play but play alone and shield is good for newbies who don't have finale yet so you can contribute to party play with support skills aegis and protection.

Mages aren’t that hard in a pt but soloing is near impossible. If u really insist on playing solo then 1h shield or dw is definitely ur best bet

The fact of the matter is that if you aren't using THS you're playing Toram incorrectly

Well, vit and mtl would be better. As your priority is holding aggro uninterrupted, which will require you to use skills.

Don't expect to win attack rank. So don't worry about damage. We need you to protect everyone, and hold aggro. First aid is also very useful.

You can mix Vit up with int, as fractional / ignite damage will reduce your HP pool. MTL is probably the best special stat.

In terms of special attributes, you'll need..

    Guard
    Guard power
    AMPR
    Physical / magic Resistance
    Fractional resistance

And once you get a toy hammer, you'll be ready to for most tanking rolls.

But check the forums, there are some pretty good guides here. And I stopped tanking awhile ago...

Why would he take int as a tank? It’s only tanking value is it gives a little bit of MDEF it doesn’t reduce the severity of fractionals or ignite either.
