Close Range Support!!

Soooo I was motivated to build a support that could actually support players within battles while having fun. I would like to thank @Eduan for giving me motivation to build the build, @Islandi and @Cypherian for helping me with the skills and telling me what they actually do, and @Precaria for helping me with the stats and for her discovery of 1mp combos!

Aight so here it is!!

Stats : PURE VIT

Support Tree
- Lvl 10 Mini Heal - to heal both you and your teammates
- Lvl 10 Recovery - to remove party debuffs and to give both you and your pt immunity from debuffs for a few seconds
- Lvl 10 Sanctuary - to make close combat players take less damage overall!
- Lvl 1 First Aid - to heal up dead players

Shield Skills
- Shield Master lvl 5 - to masterize the lovely shield skills
- Lvl 10 Shield bash - combo starter, and a great way to interrupt mobs during their special attacks!
- Lvl 10 Force Shield - For more def and access to Magical Shield
- Lvl 10 Magical Shield - To increase your Mdef when you have your shield on
- Lvl 10 Protection - Increase your pt's def by 50% and decrease your pt's mdef by 25%
- Lvl 10 Aegis - Increase your pt's def by 50% and decrease your pt's mdef by 25%

Survival Skills - OPTIONAL
- Lvl 5 Safe Rest - To have natural HP regen
- Lvl 1 Fighter's High - To regen HP during boss fights
- Lbl 10 Hp Up - Moar HP!
- Lvl 5 Short Rest - To regen your mp
- Lvl 1 Sober Analysis - To have the ability for that mp regen every 3 seconds

Magic Skills
- Lvl 1 Magic: Arrows - Combo starter
- Lvl 10 MP Charge - to recover MP

Blade Skills
- Lvl 5 Sword Mastery
- Lvl 5 Quick Slash
- Lvl 10 War Cry

Words in RED COLORING are required to make this build successful

Combo
1. Shield Bash > Sanctuary (save) > War Cry (swift) > Magic: Arrows (Minds Eye)
2. Magic: Arrows > Aegis (save) > Protection (swift)

*note that combo 1 and 2 are both 100 mp combos so it shouldn't waste too much mp
*during combos you can interrupt yourself and start up a new combo
*I have no idea what Minds Eye does but it looks cool xD

Equipment
- Libra slotted w/ MP+100 - +1000 Cast Speed, -50% matk
- Relief Shield - Dark Res +5%, Max HP+300, Guard Rate +9%, Guard Power +30%
- Oracle Garb (NPC) slotted w/ MP+100 - Attack MP Recovery +3, Max MP +200, Cast Speed +100, Dark Resistance +5%
- Crystal Earrings slotted w/ MP+100 - MaxMP +300
- Magician's Ring slotted w/MP+100 - MaxMP +1000, Atk -25%, Matk -25%

**With these gear you should end with around 2000 MP total

Play Style
-You're gonna have to get deep and close to bosses so you can cast up sanctuary and heal members
-Worry bout your close combatants before ranged players
-The person who tanks a lot is your most priority
-Removing debuffs others before yourself
-Heal others before yourself
-Carry Revs, having 5.5k doesn't mean your invincible

Correct me on this one.
but Mind's Eye is a combo that makes you either stop the combo if the skill doesn't affect the target, or makes you skip the skill if the target is not affected by the skill

 

Idk ._. I just like put it on there cause the eye looks cool

 

I like the build but wouldnt dex nd vit be better so those times when u allmost saved someone turns into those times u saved someone with a second to spare? Also i want to be a support who stands next to the sniper and boosts the att of his snipe which i think would be usefull dont you?

 

If you want to become a range type support you can put in magic arrows as the combo starter of combo 1 and then wallah x3

That is correct. But since nothing so far is immune to magic arrow, it will just use the 1mp to pay back to save. It's Squids way of messing with your mind, you've been Squided^^

You could use Swift instead, but it would not change the outcome of this combo.

 

The VIT is to ensure his own survival. DEX would make sense for future for the cast speed. War cry is not area based, so you don't need to be beside the archer to buff their Snipes,

 

Btw, Sanc can't reduce fatal dmg right? Sometimes i got hit with pure dmg (not reduced) from Mauez's skill attack even stay in Sanc area

On a serious note, I do agree with the reasoning behind these skills choices. Sanctuary and Mini-heal will produce much better result than Bless and Gloria. Giving up Gloria may seem a waste, but Gloria is too slow without decent cast speed.

When I had 1k Cspd, it was instant cast, but normally, it's 1 sec channeling and 1 sec cast time.

At this current point in game, this is one of the best combinations you can put together. Honestly, good job, Squid.
