Thank you! So I forego Brave Aura, and instead go for Warcry, yes?

if you have the skill points do it both.

i have a 180 support mage that have
2.7matk /almost 10k hp / 101% ailment resist with bless, enhance bless, heal, and support skills that includes brave aura etc.
    1.9k mp.
made this build to support most tanks and enhance pt damage, performance etc and still do damage myself.
with heal i can heal around 4.6k hp (self inflicted)
    bless 360+ per tick
and cspd that can reach 1.2k with support skills cspd

and magic burts atm. not a good thing...have it also but rarely use it due to low damage. so not worth it atm

and i dnt use queen staff with this

Just a small tip: but it’s not too difficult to get up to 2000 MP with gear even without MP Boost. If you can afford to, you can try reallocating those skill points to other skills ;)

About magic burst for a support mage its great if you know how to spam it for two reasons..
1- its the best skill to break his gurd
2- spaming it with other magic skills make it 0 cspd so spam and avoid not taking dmg mean longer time for support skills to last

Other important aura skills for support are Quick Motion and High Cycle. While these won’t directly increase damage done, it does help make everyone’s actions faster. This can indirectly increase damage output with faster combos, proration from auto attacks, etc.
If you prefer not to add anymore points into the auras, you can also add points to get Chakra from the Martial Skill Tree. This skill is great even without a knuckle main or sub weapon. It increases ampr which is a tremendous help to the physical dps while also providing a single time damage reduction buff to help with survivability of the squishier party members.

    Hi everyone!
I'm only level 76 now, but based from what I read about Finale, I was wondering if it would make sense for me to forego that skill (stop at Impact 7) and instead get Magic Mastery 10, Chain Cast 10, Javelin 10, Storm 10 and Burst 10?
    Thoughts?

Magic Mastery 10 and Storm 10, yes. Other skill i suggest to keep leveling up and see your play style. They are not always useful.

It probably good to max out the recovery, since it will full return MP upon ailment removal and allow higher ailment status (like mana explosion) to be removed.
If you are going for war cry, make sure u have a very high negative aggro stat, since it is group aggro skill, specially most of dps skill mage is aoe. Maybe you can spend extra on sneak skill as well, that would save your life from aggro worry thingy.
For stat, you may focus rest on MTL, which is commonly good for free ailment remove and help mobs/boss stop cancelling your finale.
Also, shield cannon might not be that necessary if u want stun. Max out Shield bash saves that 5 skill points.
    Combo other than finale:
    Utility: 1mp (Force & Magic shield u have) > Warcry/Sneak (save) > finale (smite) 4 CP
Higher MP charge: 1mp (prefer Bless) > MP charge (0mp swift) > Maxi (save) > finale (smite) 6CP - 18 MP return

Support and non attacking skills bypass Sneak Attack and still draw aggro. Sneak Attack would only negate aggro from attacking skills. Nega aggro is more reliable for not being targeted. For staffs, that’s the Bloom of Peace and Candy Coryn staffs that give -100% aggro.

I do agree with using a -100% when using auras and any of the other area support skills. I've personally been taking a different route when it comes to my support.

I'm not capped out yet but I've subbed a bit more heavily in tanking maxing guardian out and grabbing taunt star gems because I like outfits too much and have sh*ty luck getting what I want. I feel like custom vit vit% gear is being ignored but it's honestly super helpful for surviving the tank role.

Primary defense is guardian with a good shield like zahhak. Guard rates are like super high with that combo from what I've seen. secondary defense is frac and damage shields. If all that fails just make sure you have a decent size hp pool to soak up the hit.

For support I mainly use in these cases is gloria, sanctuary, war cry, guardian, and bless while tanking. Using those in a combo can negate some or all of the cost of sanctuary. Generally spamming support skills is enough to keep aggro.

Combos generally lead with a 100mp skill into sanctuary (save) then enough skills to use up the saved sanctuary mp ended with mp charge. Guard rate, shields, and general bulk make it so I dont have to worry about getting hit while in combo but... if I have armor break applied I take heavy damage and if I eat a knockback or flinch I lose a decent amount of mp due to combo cancel. The mp charge at the end can be removed if you're worried about taking too much damage but I keep it so I can immediately use maximizer when the combo is done for full mp.

If someone else wants the wheel that's when I use the -aggro staff and cast auras and other skills that want you to not get hit.

Only issue I get from this build is a lack of damage of my own. Can't solo at all and I'm reliant on parties that only need a filler or understand the build im using ahead of time. Otherwise I get the boot.
