I opened some of the Avatar chests that promised an Avatar. I got a Top, 4 bottoms (two of the same kind), and an accessory. Fortunately, there was a top and a matching bottom set. Yay!!!

I personally think I just drained my whole month of luck there.......It took me more than half an hour to complete that Incense quest where first those Roars didn't drop any fairy feathers at all.......Then we looked all over to find the monster that dropped Vine...... Nevermind. Its finally over and I got to level 35, So I'm happy

 

You can check the quest log for where to find monster that drop quest item. Some items are dropped by multiple monster tho, and the log won't show the easiest or closest one that dropped it.

I don't care if I'm necroing, in fact I'm actually a certified Necromancer. But is Tank newbie friendly tho? When I'm thinking about tank, I always imagine those brave gallant warrior who lead the party in dungeon. Charging against the boss in one-on-one combat while preventing boss from going after DPS and support. Also what kind of tank you are talking about? The classic sword and shield or is there other type of tank that I don't know?

 

Tank takes some time to get use but its pretty simple. All you really do is just watch for boss aoes and spam skills to keep aggro. Once you understand how aggro works and learn each bosses patterns its easy sailing. Dps wise yea tanks going to suck but since toram is dps meta tanks usually in high demand so leveling easy. Basically anything with a shield can tank even mage if thats your thing. Some choose bg tank for range, knuckles for more utility and mp atk recovery. Then ofcourse 1h tank.

 

Is MQ boss really that hard that you need tank to kill them? I thought you just spam DPS and the boss will die in 3 second like most mmo.

 

You got to remember tho dps spammers glassy af, a lot of them cant survive if boss focuses on them. Thats why tanks are in high demand at leveling locations or event bosses. If players dont see big number they wont play it.

 

What you do is exit the boss, get a 2h guild merc and run it on easy.

 

Well, I've been playing as a tank for some days (I don't keep count but I started playing last month) and a tank is fun, if you have party members and mercs. I lucked out in this aspect since I got help here in the forums from some players who lent me their characters as mercenary and guildmates. While keeping aggro and absorbing damage is basic, theres more to what a tank can do. You can save your team mates ass by flinching, stunning or tumbling the bosses when they attack. This is actually more so if you're using a Knuckle Tank (They have more interrupts but every tank has some). Then you can reduce the whole teams damage taken and aggro if they're inside the range of your Guardian or Sanctuary. If you use Nature's Wonder for your healing skill, you're healing them too. And most of the time by rooting the boss to one place you're helping your DPS do their job.
But it's not all roses though. The fact that you can't solo to save your life is quite bothersome (Unless you're a hybrid which is a tanky-dps). Evasion is your worst enemy (If you try to flinch your enemy for a red area attack and it doesn't hit, you get frustrated fast). I don't know how many times I've cursed when my attacks were evaded. It baffles you when you are fifty or seventy levels above a random mob and both of you deal perpetual 1 damage attacks to each other for forever..... (It makes farming combos easy though)
This has gotten quite long. Point being, being a tanky character is hard in the beginning (When you need to kill mobs for mats and all and when you're penniless) but it gets easier as you make friends or progress further into the game (Extra char for farming). There are always people doing main quest, so if a boss is hard you can just invite them. Sure, you'll take time killing the boss (I spent around 15 mins at Lava Trails killing Flare Volg with my friend) but in the end it's okay. Ask for help if you're stuck and people will help. In the end, it's all about having fun, isn't it??
PS: I've only tried out 1h+Shield and Knucle+Shield Tank, not Bowgun or Mage one since I didn't have their equips or tier 4 skills. So correct me if anything's wrong okay??

Is there any guide for the definitions of stats? About how much crit givesnfor the crit stats or how much ailment resistant for every mental stats? Thanks in advance
