dex>agi brawler

so i have a katana forger that i would like to be viable as a character.
current stats are 240 dex 139 agi at lvl 141. since knux also gain atk with dex, can this build dish out dmg (enough to solo boss) with a decent statted weapon?

i could switch over to agi 240 139 dex but ill have less proficiency and have more fails while forging katanas

im currently using bow but without str, snipes dont even deal a decent amount of dmg so i was considering switching to knux (so i have a breaker as well)

 

Each build would be able to do most content solo as long as we're talking about the realm of normal difficulty boss encounters.

Comparing the two.

139 Agi, 240 Dex, would get 378 Atk. Which is like having 199 AGI with really high accuracy, but no aspd or flee gains.
-Pros
-Great accuracy. Way less likely to graze offsetting the lost damage against high dodge bosses.
-High cast speed.

-Cons
-Low motion speed. This will hinder your breaker rank a bit and also holds you from being able to do heavy smash twice in one Shell Break window.
-Low atk comparitive to other Brawlers.
-Bad flee amount. (Too be fair nobody knows what the bare minimal flee amount is to dodge normal attacks.)
-Bash stun chance will scale with AGI soon.
-If nobody is grazing you've got low attack.


139 Dex, 240 Agi, would get 469 Atk. Which is akin to 274 AGI but with most of the flee and aspd, and only some of the accuracy.
-Pros
-Aspd is high
-Flee is high
-Atk is high enough
-Will get most of the benefits from the skill rebalaces
-Decent accuracy
Cons
-Accuracy is meh. 180 Dex is that nice sweetspot for me.

I know i'm giving the DEX build a lot of cons. However, the accuracy in itself will help out a lot on bosses that 255/240 AGI brawlers have trouble hitting. The attack difference will be noticable, but it won't keep you from soloing. The aspd shouldn't keep you from getting Breaker rank in normal parties. Just out of virtue of the Martial tree kit. And most people can survive without flee. So you should be fine. Just make sure you have enough HP to survive longer fights.
