Did refining become more difficult? Or am I just unlucky

I had a +B shield that I wanted to up to +S. It was relatively easy to get to +B when I did it awhile ago. Using my luck smith, hematite, and anti-degs my shield dropped to +C. No big deal, get out my Tech Smith and use Oris and (sometimes) anti-degs. By the end of it my shield is now at +9. Did refining calculations get harder? Or are antidegs less effective now? Or do I just have incredibly bad luck.

Just unlucky, +B has become relatively easy to refine since the new blacksmith skills released. I would recommend using anti-degs though from D-B that's why u dropping so much.

If refining to +S was that easy, it wouldn't be worth some millions.

 

I did not try once and thought I was unlucky because I failed. I thought I was unlucky because when I originally refined it to +B, it took a couple stacks of orichalcum and anti-degs. It degraded quite a few times (always using anti-deg), but eventually got there. It NEVER degraded all the way back down to +9.

This time I've bought a bunch of stacks of orichalcum, and anti-degs. Still using them every time, and it's degraded all the way down to +9 multiple times. It seems like even with anti-deg it's degrading ever 4th or 5th time. The feel is just 100% different.

I guess I was just super lucky the first time round.

 

Well, my death katana won't rise from +E smh, even when using orichalcum, it drops to +9 and I'm using a lvl 200 with refine skill at max tech>int bs

 

What kind of sorcery, too unlucky. XD

 

Sometimes I feel like it's harder to refine when the server's heavy

 

Idk what happened, it's still +E rn. But at least all of my other gears already gets to +B before that bullsh*t

 

One tip for refining, don't stand and refine near Adala or Lefina, you will get extremely horrible luck, that's what I've experienced when refining my Modestia (45m) to + S.

 

it's really funny to read this kind of comment, because I have the same feeling. I kinda like to think that toram RNG's seed is based on character position, so you may get luckier refining in some places, while in others you may have pretty bad luck, although I doubt that is really the case.

but yeah i think position matters i did most of my A and S refs in guild bar

 

whahahaha one mustn't start refining with 3m+ spina in there account lol... refining gets mostly easier when the refiner is poor,and i mostly hit +s only at my house or guild bar, some items with too much base attack or defence are considered hard to refine but if ur willing to refine +s its actually no big deal at all !!

It happened with me too

 

I did around 20 refines in last 2 days and almost all of them dropped twice from A to E and i almost quit but then I went from land to gb and they all succeed in like few attempts, +S in 13 min and 300k being the fastest and cheapest

 

Oof it was kinda near lefina when I do death katana

 

It wasn't even like this before the tier 4 update, is it just me or the rate just smh got whackier or something

 

I find for myself I get the most lucky refining on my own land. Yesterday I refined 3 weapons to +S
