Discord Bot for Toram Discord Guilds

I am unsure if this is the correct category to post this, but I am at least 60%+ sure that it is.

Note: Just that no one makes a mistake this is not a Toram mod nor a Toram bot. This is a Discord bot and is in no way affiliated with Coryn.club nor Toram itself. This would be the "same" amount of anti-Toram-community activity as using coryn.club!

Some of you do know about the thread I posted here, the thread regarding a Discord bot I was making.

Because of IRL I didn't actually manage to play Toram for months and my guild is just me and 3 friends... who again... barely play Toram because of IRL. For that reason, I decided something...

I will make my Discord bot for Toram publically available! Yay!

You can get the bot here.

You can add the bot to your server or you can download the .jar file of the bot and run it on your system. On the GitHub link, I posted how to create the bot and start it. You can write on this thread your review and if there are any bugs in order for me to fix them!

The commands of the bot are:

• Monster search (bosses and minibosses and their drops, exp, HP and elements are included)
• Item search (and their subcategories as well: staffs, arms, ths, ohs... etc.)
• Level search for EXP farming
• Skill point calculator
• Show events
• Show the latest toram news
• Show the latest maintenance info
• Show the latest big news (new chapter, etc.)
• Automatic events messages (need a #toram-sensei-news channel for this)
• Alchemist prof guide (still in development but can be used).
• Monthly dyes. (dependent on the thread!)
• See the colors of dyes + you can see their RGB and HEX value

Well this is neither a mod for toram not a bot for toram. This is a bot for Discord. Like how you play music on Discord channels and such. I will send some usage pics to clear out what this actually is!

I saw that the title was misleading as well, I just updated it with different wording!

 

Hmmm, perhaps you could run the bot on a hosting service like Heroku or something, but I was able to get it run for myself I just dont really know how to get it to work without the CP running the command constantly.

 

What CP? Heroku Free version only can run for 30 minutes if you aren't active. As I am giving the bot away and not really getting any money from it (maybe with the shorte.st links only) I can't and don't want to afford to pay $7 per month.

Maybe if I make a premium-ish version I can make it work but else, you need to run the app and such .

I just compiled it and am currently running it on Heroku. I will see if it shuts down in 30 minutes. If it works I will just put a link in the footer for a shorte.st link for my GitHub repo page. This will be only for bots which are running on Heroku. If you run it yourself you won't have it!

Yeah, it shuts down after 30 minutes.

If you meant CP by Command Post, it really doesn't have any... It only has that log4j isn't there... which you don't really need as this is not logging anything and that you can type in stop to stop the bot. If you cancel the bot without properly shutting it down it will still show that the bot is online even though it is not.

I saw that Heroku has a thing called Procfile. I managed to run the bot from it. I am rn waiting for 30+ mins. If it is still running after 30 minutes it means it'll run 24/7.

Well, I think "Application" would be more misleading. Discord uses the term "bot". I am unsure of how to write the title correctly as it is a Discord Bot for Toram. I'll maybe rename it to Discord Bot for Toram Discord Guilds.

 

If you didnt I wouldve probably have taken today to mess with it, I was up till 2 AM trying to get it around, shame I wasnt able to in that time. But thank you, I'm glad I could help a little.

Also with the whole name of the thread, I personally dont think its a problem if people know how to read and not assume.

 

Wow this is well done i must say, also i would like to inform you that a Toram Discord Bot being developed by me is already being distributed to Toram Servers, although your bot is already ahead of it in terms of Guides, you inspired me to work harder on it though and coincidentally i am already working on item and monster search, might take a while since im still a student and rarely get free time.

For users: Sorry for the time the bot was offline, I was updating it to run the newest code.

For devs: The bot now has multi-threading and made some custom classes. I would guess that you can now understand the code of the bot more.

 

Again, sorry for the quick pause on the bot. Looks like I've made a logical error, but it's patched up!

Great news @ZexxenXD, instead of searching for the element of monsters to figure out the weakness you can now directly read the weakness off from the monster info!

Honestly, that seems bothersome. Finding all the monthly dyes would require active playing, or at least someone who would provide the information. Although there is a thread for that, not everyone is farming dye and posting their findings on said thread. Additionally, you would need to update it every month ...
