Do Indonesia, Malaysia, and other countries around that area have standardized spelling?

I'm not quite sure what you meant by standardized spelling. Indonesian, or bahasa Indonesia, is pronounciated exactly as it is written, meaning unlike English, if there are two similarly written words, you pretty much read them the same way. So yeah, how you pronounce the word is more important than how you spell it. Xtal, extall, ekstal, ekstall, they are pretty much pronounced the same way . In english for example you have a lot of words that pronounced differently even with slight difference in spelling, like house and hour, both have two syllables that starts with 'hou' but they're completely different when pronounced. Also, for everyday use indos usually use informal language. Only in the most formal occasions you would find someone speaks a perfect textbook language

Just for a little bonus, some words in some country share some same meaning, same handwriting but different spelling too, example "水" means water. "水" in Japanese and Chinese share the same meaning also handwriting, but their pronunciation are different. In Chinese, they pronounce it "shuǐ" while in Japanese, they pronounce it "mizu/sui".

And for some in-game example too: "天流乱星" means "stormy stars on the sky" or ("Blade of the Stars" based on game secriano) in both language(I'm not sure about this because I based on the meaning of each words, if someone can correct the meaning, just correct it btw, my Chinese are not that good), in Japanese, they pronounce it "Tenryu Ransei" while in Chinese, they pronounce it "Tiān lǐu luàn xīng". So just judging the standardized spelling just like the same case for Chinese and Japanese.

You assume me saying that 9/10 when I see an Indo and they act like a pious saint who fails not is racism.
On the same hand if someone keeps punching you, wouldn't you avoid said person when they're around?
Also racism being illegal in your country is pretty sad, being that I'd be locked up right now for an opinion that isn't racist. I just found that in most games this be the behavior of them. Does it mean all are like this? No. But the majority have drowned out the minority

Well you guys so lucky to live in Eng childhood. No need to learn foreign lang. But for me and for us as Indos, learn any other lang would be pretty difficult. Some of them just having fun with the game, so they won't learn Eng (grammar etc). That's why they always spamming ifp, cause some of you can't accept Eng with imperfect grammar. Hope this answer will gets you to be more mature. I experienced alot in RPG/MMORPG for 10+ years, and I understand PH VN CHN or whole SEA with their imperfect Eng.

Edit: You'd never found a game with no toxic player in it. You play NA games, NA as majority, you'll meet NA toxic players. Harden your skin! No fcking racism fegs!

I did. Still found toxic Indos. This isn't just from Toram. Ive played a majority NA game and still had this issue. Yes there were toxic NA players. But why are the Indos still being toxic (may it be lesser in number and frequency in the NA server)?
Not all but a glaring majority once again

All of u who think grammar is a must for a little in game conversation and insult any other country by their act. I don't mind u hate Indo, Malay, PH, and many more. But creating thread that leads ppl to do racist. That's the problem. I said "you guys" coz i see so many threads with same topics. Useless and uneccessary even if its off topics thread.

What about what I have said would make you think that I "hate Indo, Malay, PH, and many more.". Did you actually read through the whole thread? I explicitly said that I created the thread to understand people better, not hate on them.

I read ur post, entire of ur post. I know ur talking about misspelling like nuretoth nuthoret or something like that. Well, ur post contains country name. What's more? Watch the comment, someone's talking in different perspective. If I didn't put a comment here, ur post will be. "Yes all Indo are toxic", "They don't deserve to play a game, they can't even write crysta", "Dev should remove Indos from the game" (if they did, this will be a dead game for sure).

I asked whether or not countries around that area had standardized spelling. I didn't mean it as in "haha lol, these guys are so bad at English. Do they just not learn how to spell over there?" I meant it as a serious question. "Standardized" might not have been the best word to use because it isn't as easy for everyone to understand (but we do use it over here to refer to what I'm talking about) but by "standardized spelling" I mean: Do you guys over there have a specific way that things need to be spelled? When you grow up and go to school, is there a specific spelling you use for the words you learn? I ask this question because I learned that not all languages have a specific way to spell things, and I was curious if the languages from your part of the world also do that. People from around your part of the world have a plenty of good reasons to not need to be good at English, and I wanted to know if this was another reason.

I think what the op meant can be understood through this: in my place (Vietnam, a southeast asian country), when people learning math, instead of using "vector" we use "véc-tơ" in written form (they both sound similar), or Pythagoras will be written and said as "Pytago". Back in the past we use "Luân-đôn" for London (in both writing and speaking), but not too often nowadays. We don't have a similar thing for the "crystal", "crysta", or "Xtal" so we Vietnamese will have to spell it as it is written in the game (of course misspelling it happens too since not every Vietnamese knows English). The op was asking whether in some countries, Indonesia for example, had a particular way to spell stuff like what I mentioned above, making English users wonder whether you guys misspelled things (not knowing English, being careless or lazy), or you just spelled things in your own way (like the way we Vietnamese sometimes do with the spelling).

(Please excuse my grammar ;-; )

Absolutely, ikr. Coz I read that carefully. But I saw him @komibi created a status about Toram utubers days ago, he said utubers keep wrote the new place update with a wrong spelling. Then, today he create a post about standardized spelling and also mentions some countries (esp Indo). This would lead to be a full of racism post, as u can see that locked post before. I don't want to see someone demanding a peaceful game but his act just same with those toxic players. As the fact mostly toram forumers hate utubers, and those utubers mostly Indonesian. At this point it's not @komibi fault coz he said he just curious, but this post is a lil mistake.

Now you've made the question clearer, I can finally answer lol

As far as I know, yes, we have what you call standardized spelling. However, most people only use it in formal occasions. Most of the time when just chatting casually, we don't use formal spelling. It's even pretty common that we shorten words or make variations of certain words. And often times they're just lazy and spell it so that it sounds similar.
Honestly, I have no idea how they managed to do that. But most people gets the point, so maybe that's why they don't bother getting it correct all the time. I don't think spelling everything correctly is a thing to worry about for most people here.

Well.. I do try to get my spelling and grammars correct everytime, with some exceptions like "cuz" and "prolly", or when I'm chatting with friends. You probably know where I am from. No?

If anyone is toxic it's you. The way I worded my first post in this thread was a little vague, but I didn't say anything that was outright hateful, and I even clarified multiple times that I didn't mean for this to be another Indo hate thread. You keep accusing me of hating Indonesians and being toxic, but I have tried my best to keep the things I say peaceful.

    I don't understand
Somehow he got offended by a non-provocative thread that discuss about standard spelling pattern
And no, nobody cares about grammar, spelling or broken english as long they understand your main points

I know it might be unnecessary and immature to continue this thread on this long, but it just bothers me that he would come here and still be accusatory and toxic despite being clarified multiple times. I don't really mind it when people are wrong because everyone is wrong every so often, and I wasn't completely correct with the way I worded my first post, but I don't like that he is so set on believing that I am toxic and that this thread promotes racism.

How was I supposed to know people would misinterpret my thread as being a hate thread? I might not have worded my first post as best as i could, but I thought people would understand it and give me an answer. I thought that people who hate Indonesians would see that answer and rethink their opinions. I hate to dismiss people in an argument, but you're too full of self-pride and stupidity to give up. You're honestly not worth arguing with because you always circle back to the same argument that has been taken down multiple times and expect to change people's minds.
